Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows:

The 1st runner we wanted 3.5, and with getting 3.4/45 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.45 max. The price then went for a big walk out to our own price of 3.8 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won, so a nice priced winner in the end and the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' lay now though......

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.66 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so another fair priced winner, but this time a good leave........

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.2, and with drifting to around 2.94 on arrival and just getting bigger and bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr. Early traders happy though........

The 4th runner we wanted 2.5, and with being around 2.72 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.5 max. The price then took a turn and drifted out to our own price of 2.8 and beyond, so a chance for traders (builders finished now) to have a 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade went and won, so another favourite goes in and the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' lay now though.......

The 5th runner we wanted 2.2, and with drifting to around 2.22 on arrival and then dropping back down to, we had a lay at 2.2. The price then went for a walk out to our own price of 2.5 and beyond, so a chance for a 'free' lay for traders (builders finished now). The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result........

The 6th and final runner we wanted 3.3, and with drifting to around 3.55 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr. Early traders happy though......

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED........................(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - 3 from the first 4 (75%) went and won - So ultra tough with those drifters thrown into the mix too, but we dug deep and did as well as we could)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Conceded 1 target at worst.......They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a battle against winners and drifters, they ended up conceding 1 target at the very worst.

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that only bought them relief.........5 runner builders then found themselves without enough potential lays left to start a strategy/target, so they end the session levels........

4 runner builders played on, but with the 3rd runner being a no bet race, they too were left with an insufficient amount left to start a strategy/target, so they finish on levels too....

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.

Total bank remains £400

They were then left with an insufficient amount to work with, so stop here.

Overall result. Levels.

'Traders' either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well done guys...

So builders will be very pleased with walking away levels after the first two runners go and win, so good discipline and well played guys. Rollers had to concede a target, but very tough and they'll accept that as they go into this evening's battle. Speak soon with this evening's workings..

Morning.

The workings for this afternoon's session, as follows:

2.10 Pontefract. HOLIDAY COCKTAIL (3.4)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under.

2.30 Brighton. STARRY SKY (1.66)

Our price 8/11 (1.727) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.5, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a little more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

2.40 Pontefract. OLYMPIC DREAM (2.14)

Our price 6/4 (2.5) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.2 or under. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, he has shown he can do it from the front, so no surprise to see the same tactics applied for this afternoon. Also please note that a little more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

2.50 Newcastle. NEEDWOOD LAD (2.64)

Our price 9/5 (2.8) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.5, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a little more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

3.10 Pontefract. THUMBS UP (2.08)

Our price 6/4 (2.5) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.2 or under.

*Please note that 'Charlie Allnut' was withdrawn at 12pm 'yesterday' and so is of no significance to us, therefore please ignore*

3.20 Newcastle. BIJOU DAN (3.35)

Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.3, or under, we'll go in for a lay.

All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 9.59am.

That's our work for this afternoon then. Again we have very few to work around, so that puts plenty of emphasis on a start, and a good start! So very tricky and testing for us, especially with that unexposed nature being rife, leaving us vulnerable to big drifts and gambles, but we have enough about us to open the satchels, so discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings.
