Sidonie - ultra impressive (although in a weak field) - I think follow until beaten in Plate races - and even in Handicaps if rated under 100
Queen Supreme - ultra impressive in a race where she was weighted to be beaten comfortably - smashed them - taking Keep Smiling's rating as gospel means that both Cordilera and Aurelia Cotta ran abt 2 lengths below their ratings (reasonable as they were returning from breaks ?) - this translates into Queen Supreme achieving 124  If handicapping guidelines are followed, I think she can only be given a max rating of 94 ?
Interesting I see Sidonie entered in the JHB Spring FIllies & Mares - rated 96, set to carry only 50kgs and drawn in pole
But no sign in that race of Queen Supreme

SEVENTH GEAR at Durbanville today. A super looking horse that was green as grass.
Definitely a guineas horse.

just managed to look through saturdays racing.
durbanville
r1 FREEDOM SEEKER- ran on well from the back, further to suit.
R2 SILVER TIARA from widest draw, ran out back when making run was forced to switch and came with a good looking run
R4 MORSE ran wide and forced wider by eventual winner AZORES. should win a race before long
R8 PUREST BLISS come with a late run, 1400 would be better.
Thoughts on these 4 anyone?

SILVER HUB goes in the first today 20/1 on offer, times of others much better.
I’ll have a small each way at 20/1, finished well lto

I see Queen Supreme got 92 only - put yr house on next time - surprised not to see her in the Jhb Spring F&M on Saturday

Think I might have got QS's rating wrong - these Northern Hem bred horses get me confused - so she is 6 months behind our SH bred horses - which makes her 3 and a half years old - so re-rating that race taking into account that Keep Smiling did not run close to a 99 next time out, I think QS is closer to 98 - still 6 points ahead of her official rating - and interestingly Way of the World (runs today) achieved 90

Kinross - 2yo - UK Sat 5 Oct - not just my eye but the commentator's and Racing TV's too.
First start, slammed them by eight "led approaching final furlong, quickened clear under hand ride, impressive".

I wouldn't normally nominate this type of horse after a 5th average maiden start but not only did POP ICON display such a contemptuous maiden win it was also his first start as a gelding. Who knows? He could be another Marinaresco
