Vaal
Race 1
Mike Azzie
No 2 Court Jester will need the run.
Alec Laird
No 4 Curious may need the experience
Craig Mayhew
No 7 Last Tern will need the run
Sean Tarry
No 9 Namaqualand will be doing his best work late
No 10 Pure State will be doing his best work late
Paul Peter
No 11 Speed Zone will need the run
Lucky Houdalakis
No 12 Trend Master: A good run from him is expected
Race 2
Stephen Moffatt
No 6 Holiday Is Over will be very green
Coenie de Beer
No 7 Land Of Rubies is fit and well.
Lucky Houdalakis
No 8 Marmalade Cat has been disappointing. She shows a lot at work at home.
Ashley Fortune
No 10 Super Fluke will need the run
No 11 Coral Cliff is looking for further
Race 3
Tony Nassif
No 5 Ex's 'N Ohs is in a tough race.
Race 4
Shaylen Naidoo
No 2 Notquitethereyet is in a competitive race but must be put in Trifectas.
Tony Nassif
No 9 Consol Queen@ I am looking for improvement
Geoff Woodruff
No 10 Aalsmeer did much better in her last run. I am concerned with
her draw and she will need some luck in running but can be
competitive.
Lucky Houdalakis
No 14 Uber Home has her first run so let us see how she goes
Race 5
Gary Alexander
Both No 2 Ritchie and No 4 The Jocelyn Tree have each-way chances.
Race 6
Geoff Woodruff
No 2 Insignis returns from a break. She is fit and had a good grass gallop
Barend Botes
No 8 Shabba Ranks: This distance is too show for him and he looks
outclassed in this field.
Race 7
Gary Alexander
No 4 Seeking Gold has an each-way chance
Fabian Habib
No 7 Glamorous Scandal is probably better on the Turffontein Inside
track but should be competitive
Race 8
Gary Alexander
No 2 Zeal And Zest has an each-way shout.
Roy Magner
No 7 Fench Leave is doing well, he is up in class but I am hoping for
a good run.
Geoff Woodruff
No 9 Humour Me was running on late over the shorter distance last time
out. This track and trip should suit and he can be competitive.

Not sure if I should open my mouth after a bit of a disaster on Tuesday - anyway here goes ....
R1: Trend Master has all the credentials and should prove hard to beat imo - Namaqualand not really finding the betting support at this stage, so who knows, while Al Borak has a tough draw to beat
R2: Single Red Rose another who seems to tick all the boxes; only danger seems to be Marmalade Cat
R3: Ronnie's Candy would have to be really ring-rusty to get beat here; Captain's Reward tries 1600 and may prove the biggest danger with Keep Smiling
R4: Not easy; Aalsmeer improved last time, but that was in what now looks to be a weakish race, and she has a wide draw to beat; Celeste on the other hand was slammed by Sidonie, who looks a bit special and is running in the feature come Saturday, so interesting to see how she goes; none of the others looks to be going to Hollywood at this stage, but this looks a real swirl of a race
R5: Scraping the bottom of the barrel here with a filly rated 65 (would have been 55 if not for that ridiculous increase) heading the handicap (so to speak); does seem to lie between her and Laconia
R6: Competitive Pinnacle Plate - complicated by the return of the very capable mare Insignis and the lightly raced 4yr old filly Bize from breaks; all but Shabba Ranks need inclusion imo; Diamond Dancer is not well weighted, but has match fitness on his side and is suited by this track, so would be my marginal first choice
R7: These have mostly been beating each other; Always Red overdue, but tries an extra 400m, so who knows....
R8: Middle Stakes to close, where Chariot of Gold stands out at the weights - seems to be not finding much support in the market though, so I am including Zeal and Zest, who seems to be well in here
Enjoy

Race 1 Trend Master looks the pick of the races horses. Al Borak has ok form but a wide draw. Crank it Up fair debut and with normal improvement has a shout. First timers don't have to be too great to win so a race to be careful.
Race 2 Looks quite a weak race with Single Red Rose and Marmalade Cat fair form.
We have Coral Cliff making her debut. Her full brother won 2000m-2400m and from that draw and this trip will be happy to just see her running on and hopefully not too badly outpaced.
Race 3 Ronnie's Candy stands out at the weights, but was off for a bleeding suspension. Fair run back last time but always a question mark if they have bled. The Tarry runners have form, the next best probably Keep Smiling.
Race 4 A tricky maiden as a couple of the better form runners have wide draws. For pick 6 throw in the older Miss Patriot along with the obvious 3yos.
Race 5 Weak maiden, not much between Ritchie and Laconia.
Race 6 The F&M get 3.5kg in these races which makes them very competitive. Bize returns from a break so if fit is thus weighted to win. Lake Kinneret is in good form and Lord Silverio much better than last poor run.
Race 7 Typical handicap- go field
Race 8 Another race where the girls get a bonus 3.5kg, so Chariot of Gold is my first pick in a competitive race.

Sean Tarry
No 9 Namaqualand will be doing his best work late
I THINK NAMAQUALAND WILL WIN THIS EASILY
Follow the leader around the turn, pick them up one by one up the 1000m straight :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
The Dam won her first start, over the 1000m beating Via Africa by 2.25lengths
In her 8 race career she won 4times over the 1000m and placed twice, well she only ran over the 1000m
She was never priced up higher than 8/1
Her first 4runs betting
1/1
1/8
5/10
1/7
