SCOTIA ON THE WEEKEND [friday 8th August].

Good morning to the CLAN and I hope you have had a good week.

I must say the social life is overruling the diet, and the punting a bit erratic, but I did suggest 4 bets in the UK yesterday and they all arrive to continue my positive mood into the weekend.

I went to "Braza" again on Tuesday and must say the place has a special vibe, well worth a visit.
Betfair were the guests, and one of the things on the "menu" was trying to convince them that a SA link via their Forum to ABC would generate more awareness of SA Horseracing, and that "everyone would be a winner", but early days yet, Rome was not built in a day, but cant complain they paid for the meal.

Last night we had a braai, and why not in these fantastic winter nights, we really are lucky living in S.A. we have our problems, but always touch glasses with Mrs S. and say "another shit day in Africa".

The site is going from strength to strength and I hope you like the addition to the home page, the link via Interbet for the latest results and scratchings, have had positive feedback.

In addition some super items on the Forum, well worth a visit for the "email only brigade", check "calling Garrick" and "Please look at these photos and give me your opinion", well worth a visit.

You can also go to the home page "gallery" and check scotia at the Man.Unt game.

Will be racing at the big T on Saturday, the Olympics kick off today at 14.00 SA time, so "everything points to happiness".

Remember the blackpearlbetting competition and don't worry if you missed the first week, plenty punters on ZERO.

An update on the racing and sports events to follow, we have found another Afrikaans pub in the area, so a few mates are going for a late lunch early supper, last week the owner told me he is going to the farm to shoot a European wild boar, and told me they are different? Can only presume that when the European ones are shot they shout "Oh my God" and the local ones "Blicksem" [sorry about spelling] but in addition he has 750gram T bone c/w a lekker dope [double brandy and mix] for R75
so will give you feedback on the bush experience, also includes a big plasma for Olympics and racing.

Good punting and may your God be with you.

SCOTIA.
