Wednesday trainer comments
BRETT CRAWFORD

Here are the trainer comments ahead of Wednesday’s race meeting at Durbanville.

OCTOBER 9, 2019
Race 1:

Andre Nel:

No 1 O Sole Mio has had a grass gallop and should run well.

Dean Kannemeyer:

No 4 At Your Request could need this run returning from a break.

Candice Bass-Robinson:

No 5 Princess Angeline is doing well but drawn poorly. Quartet chance.

No 9 Duchess Of State has a good winning chance.

Mike Robinson:

No 6 Casting Call will need the run and experience.

Glen Kotzen:

No 8 Duchess Of Malfi has had a few grass gallops and should run well.

No 11 Firstladyofflying has had a grass gallop and should need the run.

Race 2:

Candice Bass-Robinson:

No 8 Holy Warrior goes the 1600m for the first time which he should prefer. Hope for a much-improved run this distance.

Vaughan Marshall:

No 4 Forbach has blinkers on for this run. He is doing well at home and we are hoping he is in the money.

Dean Kannemeyer:

No 8 Track Attack is a lovely colt and he has plenty of scope. He will like this longer distance and will be very competitive.

Race 3:

Brett Crawford:

No 1 Khopesh is working well.

Candice Bass-Robinson:

No 2 Mist Of Time has his first run back. If he doesn’t need it too much he could have a money chance.

No 8 Fiery Fort is looking for this trip. Has an Eachway chance.

Peter Wrensch:

No 10 Watch This Tiger has not had a grass gallop but is extremely well and could surprise.

Race 4:

Brett Crawford:

No 2 Maningi Indaba has an Eachway chance.

Vaughan Marshall:

No 5 White Lace was unlucky last time out. He has an Eachway chance.

Candice Bass-Robinson:

No 7 Nan is doing very well, knocking on the door. Good Eachway chance.

No 10 Double Shuffle should improve over this trip.

Race 5:

Brett Crawford:

No 1 Norfolk Pine may need this run.

No 14 Super Silvano has a nice light weight and I am hoping for a better run.

Dean Kannemeyer:

No 11 Var’s Boy was very disappointing last time out. I think you can ignore the run and he must be included in exotics.

Race 6:

Brett Crawford:

No 1 Almost Captured has a big weight so it will be tough for her but she has been doing well at home.

Dean Kannemeyer:

No 2 Rille is an improving filly. She may need it a bit further but a good run from her is expected.

Candice Bass-Robinson:

No 4 Sailing Ship is having her prep run for the Fillies Championship. Doing well but may need it.

No 8 Elusive Rain is having a prep run. Should need this run back but will be running on.

Snaith Racing:

No 6 Ferrari Red is looking great at home and should run into the money.

Race 7:

Candice Bass-Robinson:

No 1 Roll In The Hay: 1000m may be a bit quick. Having a prep run for the season ahead.

No 2 Miss Honey: Prep run. Tough for these fillies under top weight in open company.

No 4 Vandah’s Spirit runs well fresh, could have a money chance.

Brett Crawford:

No 3 Vodka Lime needs to improve on her current form.

No 9 Too Cute is doing well and is coming off a good maiden win so I am expecting a good honest run.

Dean Kannemeyer:

No 11 Victoria Tower is coming off a nice run and should be competitive.

Race 8:

Vaughan Marshall:

No 1 Lloyd George needs to improve.

No 6 Baltimore Jack is coming off a maiden win in a hot field. I am a bit worried about Durbanville but he is very fit.

No 12 Red Eight: Hoping for a better run than last time.

Brett Crawford:

No 2 Parterre is having his first run for me so we will learn from this run.

No 13 Regimental is coming off a nice debut win but is not well drawn this time.

Billy Prestage:

No 8 Jean’s Man shows good ability at home and should be in the money.

Difficult race:

1. Captain Flinders should be ready and top jock.

2. Flowerscape improving and Richard riding on different level to others

3. Track Attack well bred and has scope but don't touch De Melo when he goes further than 1400m

Captain Flinders and Flowerscape to fight it out.
Track to run on for minors.
Richard Fourie is the greatest...
