R2 unit Stake /R1.00 payouts ( Pick3's and Doubles)

I would appreciate it if someone in the know can shed some light here.

As to my understanding all tote doubles and Pick3's is now per R2.00 unit stake.

BUT why is it clear that the payouts still reflect to a R1.00 stake.
Look at the example below (double 3x5), yes 2 x 1/5 horses won but surely the punter cant get back R1.30 for a R2.00 stake.

That is the most obvious example but plenty of times 2x 4/1 horses win then R25.00ish payout and not in the expected region of R50

Any change Mr Hawkins or the guys from the tote can clarify please .

Can never pay 1.30 on a R2 unit.
On the weekend I played a pick 3 banker /3/2
I spent R96 and it showed 16 times. If it was a R2 unit then should have only been 8 times.All what I thought was that it went back to a Rand unit

What I find irritating is that one time you play the doubles it’s how many times you want the bet and the next time it’s in rand value.

Definately still R2.00 units to R1.00 payouts

I like playing Pick 3's but never take it multiple times as I prefer larger permutations. What I have noticed is that whatever amount I would play using the old R1 methodology now requires me to take it twice (double up) which suggests a R2 unit but on a R1 calculation taken twice. Probably a system constraint until the unit of betting can be adjusted.
