Afternoon.

This afternoon completed and went as follows:

The 1st runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 2.12 on arrival and then a non runner and 13.3% reduction, we now wanted a lay price of 1.87. The price dropped down to us and slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 1.87 max. The lay went and won without too much fuss, so the way it goes.......

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.9, but a non runner and 8.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.74. The price was around 2.36 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 2.36. The lay went and won well, so again layers look silly and the way it goes.........

The 3rd runner we wanted 3.3, and with drifting to around 5.0 on arrival and not coming back down to us, we had to avoid the race. The runner came in a very close 2nd, so heart attack saved, but 'one that got away in hindsight'...........

The 4th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being a well supported 2.64 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.64 max. The lay went and won well, so another well backed favourite goes in and the way it goes.....

The 5th runner we wanted 3.1, and with being that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.4 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won, so yet another goes in and the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' lay this time though.....

The 6th runner we wanted 3.2, and with drifting to around 4.2 on arrival, getting bigger, and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so yet another goes and wins, but this time a nice priced winner, but more importantly a very good leave.......

The 7th and final runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 1.77 on arrival, we had a lay at 1.77. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.3 and slightly beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten, so a good result.......

WELL BATTLED.........(5 from the first 6 (83.33%) and 5 from the 7 (71.5%) went and won, so ultra tough and all we could do was limit the damage, which we did when looking back at all those winners)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them)..............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a massive battle, they went to their 5th lay (the 7th runner) where they ended the session conceding 2.2 targets at the very worst...

'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 1.87 max, but a poor result see them go behind early........They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.36, but another poor result see them go a bit further behind..........Then came their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.6 max, but another poor result see them go further behind.........They then had a 'free' lay (the 5th runner) that only bought relief..........Then they finished with another 'free' lay (the 7th runner) that bought a tiny profit.......So they end conceding between 2.25 and 2.9 targets...

'Traders' got off to a miserable start with conceding a little on the 1st runner at 1.87 max, the 2nd runner at 2.36, and the 4th runner at 2.64 max, and although others see them win a bit or break level, they still had to concede this afternoon, so the way it goes...

So a very tough session for us, and although builders had to concede a little, they'll still feel they did all they could with conceding a little with all those winners. Rollers also had to concede a couple, but they'll accept that with all those winners and move on to this evening. Speak soon........Phew, it's tough out there guys!...

Morning.

This afternoon's workings as follows:

2.50 Worcester. DISTILLER (2.12)

Our price 23/10 (2.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.0, or under, we'll go in for a lay.

3.00 Brighton. STEIG (2.66)

Our price 11/5 (3.2) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.9 or under. *Traders be aware that he has a tendency to race prominently in his races*

3.10 Lingfield. RHUBARB (3.5)

Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.3, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although she's very lightly raced, she did show speed to lead on debut, so no surprise to see her do so again this afternoon. Also please note that a little more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

3.20 Worcester. WILDBACH (2.64)

Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under.

3.40 Lingfield. MASAMAH (3.1)

Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.1 or under. *Please note that a little more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

3.50 Worcester. LEVITSKI (2.9)

Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.2 or under.

5.20 Worcester. CROSS COMPLIANCE (1.86)

Our price 23/10 (2.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.0 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 9.39am.

That's our work for this afternoon's session then. Tricky and testing with not many to work around, but we have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings.
