"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Saturday 9 August Workings.

Afternoon.
This afternoon completed then, and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 3.3, and with being around 3.4 on arrival and then a non runner and a 2.9% reduction, we now wanted a lay price of 3.23 (3.25 nearest exchange price). The price was still a little higher, but then we had another withdrawal and further 12.6% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 3.08 (3.10 nearest exchange price). The price dropped to us and lower, so we had a lay at 3.10 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.4 (was 3.6 before reductions) and so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.....
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.4, and with drifting to around 3.2 on arrival and only getting slightly bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a very good leave........
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.3, and with being around 2.94 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.94 max. The lay went and won in the style of a very decent horse, so fair play, whack on the chin and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
The 4th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 3.3 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 5th runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 3.1 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.1. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.4 and beyond, before coming back in, so a fluctuating market and a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result....
The 6th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.8 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.8 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.........
The 7th and final runner we wanted 2.32, but a non runner and 5.9% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.24. The price was around 2.74 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave........
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED....................(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - So a tough start, but all came through it OK and so well played/battled guys.)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them)Won 1 target...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a good start and then a bit of a battle, they hit their targets on their 4th lay (the 6th runner) and so ended the session winning 1 target.....
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.94 max, but a poor result see them go behind early.......They then had another 'free' lay (the 5th runner) that bought a tiny profit.........Then came their 2nd lay (the 6th runner) at 2.8 max, and a good result see them win a big chunk back..........That's where they ended it and so they concede a very tiny 0.2 - 0.1 of a target.....

'Traders' either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well played guys..
So a tough start and mix that with those drifters it made it tough for us. However, we did it well to get levels or hit the targets, so well played guys. Speak soon with this evening's workings.
Marc.
