TRAINER COMMENTS : and Nadine`s selections

RACE 1 :
1st four selections
10 / 4 / 5 / 11
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 4 and 12 - HALLO ROSIE, GOOD TIMES ROLL & POMODORO EXPRESS : Hallo Rosie has a place chance but she does have a widish drawn against her. Good Times Roll ran a good race in her last and should be right there. Pomodoro Express has his first race back after a break and could need it.
•ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 10 and 11 - FIRST CHARM & MISS ORANGE : First Charm has done well in her two starts so far and can further improve. Miss Orange was beaten fairly on debut but can get closer here.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 1 and 3 - QUEEN NITOCRIS & RED FOREST : Hoping for improvement from both runners.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 6, 7 and 9 - STORM DANCER, QUERENCIA & COSMIC LOVE : Storm Dance must produce her first two runs. She hit a bit of a growth spurt and lost her form. She is looking good, back in trip will suit and she can improve. Querencia tries the cheekpieces and a tongue tie and improvement is expected. Cosmic Love has her first run for the yard and it will be a learning curve.
TARA LAING - Number 8 - LIQUID SUNSHINE : She tries the Poly and blinkers and we are hoping for improvement.
RACE 2 :
1st four selections
5 / 6 / 1 / 7
• ALAN GREEFF - Number 1 - ARABIAN SNIPER : He is improving and will enjoy the mile.
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 3, 5 and 10 - BORN TO BE GREAT, FALLING FOR YOU & CROISADE DE VARITE : Born to be Great has his first run for the yard, he tries further. Falling for You is consistent, he should thereabouts. Croisade de Verite tries further.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 7 - LORD MILBERRY : He will enjoy being back on Poly and trying the mile, he will improve.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 9 - VIBERMATIC : Hoping for further improvement from him, do think he will enjoy being back in trip.
RACE 3 :
1st four selections
1 / 7 / 5 / 2
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 4 and 7 - CHAKRI, FALCON ROCK & DEEPSTON : Chakri has a winning chance again. Falcon Rock does find the mile a stretch but could place. Deepston won well on debut, he is a temperamental fellow but if all goes well he can earn.
• GAVIN SMITH - Number 2 - STORY OF MY LIFE : He tries hard, unfortunately is drawn wide, but could place.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 3 - DESERT WISDOM : He races off a break, will need it and the mile is sharp for him.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 5 - BORDER CONTROL : Looking for improvement.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 6 and 8 - QUERARI VIKING & DESERT CHIEF : Querari Viking has his second run after a lengthy rest. He is expected to improve but could still need this. Desert Chief ran a cracker in his last, he can be moody, so hoping he follows up.
RACE 4 :
1st four selections
2 / 1 / 6 / 7
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1 and 4 - SPIRIT OF SONG & SHINE LIKE A STAR : Spirit of
Song is consistent on this surface and should be thereabouts. Shine like a Star is back to the mile and has a quartet chance.
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2 and 3 - TSITSIKAMMA BUSH & BERNARDO : Tsitsikamma Bush will has his first run on Poly. He is expected to enjoy it and being up to the mile will suit. Bernardo is never beaten far and can place.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 5, 9 and 11 - CHESTNUT WILD, MASTER DESIGN & OMAHA TRIBE : Chestnut Wild is never far back and can run into quartets. Hoping for better from Master Design and Omaha Tribe.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 6 and 8 - THE GOON SHOW & TARZAN : The Goon Show ran a great race and should be thereabouts again. Tarzan ran a good race in his penultimate over course and distance and can hopefully repeat that run here.
RACE 5 :
1st four selections
3 / 1 / 2 / 4
• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 2 and 5 - SEEKING WISDOM & PEARL TIARA : Seeking Wisdom is a special girl, she is so honest. The Algoa Cup in her last was a leap up in class and back down here she is expected to be competitive. Pearl Tiara has her first run for the yard and on Poly. It is a learning curve but she is nice filly and if she takes to the surface a nice run is expected.
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3 and 6 - EPIC STORM & WOODSTOCK FAIRY : Epic Storm has a winning chance. Woodstock Fairy has been disappointing, she is definitely capable of better so hoping she can show improvement.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 4 - SAO PAULO : She loves the Poly and always gives of her best on the surface, she is expected to earn.
TARA LAING - Number 7 - RED HERRING : She ran a fair race on local debut in her last but does meet a strong field. We are hoping for a good run.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 8 - ROCKSETTE : The drop in class will help, place chance.
RACE 6 :
1st four selections
3 / 5 / 7 / 1
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1, 2, 3, 8 and 9 - EXCLUSIVITY, LATERAL’S FLASH, CLOSE TO MY HEART, NEVERTHELESS & STEADY BREEZE : Exclusivity ran an underpar last , better is expected. Lateral’s Flash is in the right field, she can place. Close to my Heart is holding form, she should be right there. Nevertheless ran a fair last and can run into the back end of quartets. Hoping for an improved run from Steady Breeze.
• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 5 - SALUBRIOUS : She ran a good race in her last, is well and another good run is expected.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 7, 11 and 12 - BOLDNESS, SETTLEMENT DAY & HOPEFUL : Boldness didn’t have things go her way in her last, lightly weighted, she can be thereabouts. Settlement Day showed good improvement on Friday, hoping she can follow up. Hopeful must do more.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 4, 6 and 10 - ROCK STARDOM, ANGEL JOLEE & JUST AMAZING : Rock Stardom ran a very under par last, it was disappointing. A lot better is expected. Angel Jolee ran a very nice last and should run well again. Just Amazing is expected to improve over further.
RACE 7 :
1st four selections
1 / 2 / 5 / 8
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2, 3 and 4 - AMBRA, SHEPARD’S DELIGHT & ALOYSIUS : Ambra and Shepard’s Delight can be there, Ambra ran a great race up following up her second win last time out and Shepard’s Delight is at best on Poly. Aloysius showed good improvement in his last and a repeat will see him thereabouts as well.
• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 5 - BARBARELLA NIGHTS : He ran a fair last but better is expected here from pole position draw.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 6 and 8 - BOUVIER & EXALTATION : Bouvier has her first run for the yard, she is a speedy filly. Exaltation is holding form well, he has a quartet chance again.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 7 and 10 - PEN-CHAN & TORAN’S GIRL : Pen-Chan is never far back and can run into quartets. Toran’s Girl could need this off a break.
TARA LAING - Number 9 - ZABIVAKA : He loves the Poly, probably would prefer 1200m, this could be sharp, but he can place.
RACE 8 :
1st four selections
3 / 4 / 6 / 9
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2, 3, 7 and 8 - GREAT ACHIEVEMENT, ELUSIVE DIVA, REGAL RUBY & TAWNY JET : Great Achievement ran very well behind Luna Wish in her last, she can get involved. Elusive Diva tries blinkers and her work back home with them has improved, she has a winning chance. Regal Ruby is holding form and can run into quartets. Tawny Jet has done well against the boys in her two starts so far and though up in class having her post maiden run, she is not without chance at earning.
• TARA LAING - Number 4 - TRAVEL GUIDE : She loves the Poly, races off two good runs and must have a decent chance.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 5, 13 and 14 - BUSHY PARK, PARADE’S END & NEVERLETUGO : Bushy Park is very consistent but the draw is a concern. Hoping for improvement from Parade’s End and Neverletugo.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 6 and 12 - FLAME OF FIRE & HONEY SUITE : Both were good winners in their last starts. Flame of Fire is probably the preferred runner, but Honey Suite can be thereabouts again too.
MONTANA TURNER - Number 10 - WINTER FIVE : She is working very well. She was outclassed in her last, but back to her division where she has consistent form, better is expected.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 1 - WESTERN ANGEL : She won her last well over course and distance, the draw is a concern.

A mate of mine called me this morning to tell me not to touch the favorite in the 1st and rather go with the stable.

I stuck with Scottish Ally though as I couldn't see the Greef coupling featuring. Oh well, some got served, some got Greef'd

Race 3

No.6 QUERARI VIKING (E/W)

P.E: Farvw
Wet:3:0-1-1
Crs: 4:1-1-1
Dst: 10:1-2-2
C&D:2:1-0-1

50% strike rate over distance... unplaced over C/D
Latest place over C/D was a 3rd Mr90 handicap

CHAKRI....is one of my favorite horses since going to PE...backed her Everytime she has run in (PE)

But think she would of preferred the 800m run in today
