I doubt that this meeting will go ahead and even the meeting scheduled for Scottsville on Sunday could be in doubt.
We have had an inordinate amount of rain in Durban!!!

rainer comments for Hollywoodbets Greyville (poly) Friday 13 December
December 13, 2019
Race 1
Nathan Kotzen
No 3 Mystery Trip – She was disappointing last time out but the 1200 meters will be better suited to her . She has a place chance
Paul Lafferty
No 8 Katies Treasure – Consistent form and will run another good raceif she settles in running
Race 2
Duncan Howells
No 1 Brilliant Disguise – He’s very consistent and should be in the first three places
Nathan Kotzen
No 11 Master Vision – He returns from a short break and is not well drawn but has an each way chance
Race 3
Dennis Drier/Stuart Ferrie
No 4 Holy Land – He is putting up nice work and is in with a quartet chance
Doug Campbell
No 3 King’s Cove – Is working well but does seems to be better suited to the turf track
Duncan Howells
No 9 All The Way Up – He will prefer this longer trip and I’m expecting him to be in the first three
Nathan Kotzen
No 10 Arizona Silk -Good last run. Back over 1700 meters, has an each way chance
Paul Lafferty
No 12 Mighty Smart – Has his first run out maiden company and also making his poly debut. Each way chance
Race 4
Dean Kannemeyer
No 7 Smart Sox – Good post maiden run and he gives the impression that he will keep on improving. One to include in the exotics.
Nathan Kotzen
No 11 Justfortheepenny – Trying further and unsure how he will go on the poly surface
Race 5
Doug Campbell
No 7 Ruby Slippers – She won well last time out and is working well, so I’m expecting another good run
Duncan Howells
No 5 Bold Beauty – She has lost her form and i’m just hoping to see some improvement
Dean Kannemeyer
No 11 Arrabiata – Ran on well in her post maiden run. She will be trying 2000 meters for the first time and if she sees it out will be competitive.
Race 6
Dennis Drier/Stuart Ferrie
No 6 Sea Dance – He ran a disappointing race when making his poly debut last time but is better than that run suggests.
Brett Crawford/Peter Muscutt
No 9 GG’s Dynasty – He’s drawn a bit wide and will make his poly debut but if he handles the course, he will run very well
Duncan Howells
No 5 Tarsus – The extra 200 meters here will suit him and he could finish in the top 4
Paul Lafferty
No 2 The Bayou – He’s a smart horse but hasn’t run since January, so may need the run
Race 7
Doug Campbell
No 2 Eden Gardens Glitz – She’s working well and from a good draw, she should be in the firing line
No 11 Ooh La La – Has a wide draw and i’m concerned how she will go on the poly track
Race 8
Dennis Drier/Stuart Ferrie
No 2 Hurricane Silva – She’s having her first run for the stable and also on the poly track , so we will just see how she goes.
Brett Crawford/Peter Muscutt
No 9 Elegantly Royal – Returns from a break so should need this run
Duncan Howells
No 12 Accidental Tourist – She’s consistent and likes the poly, so should again be in the first three
No 8 La Valette – She was caught out wide in her last run. Capable of finishing in the top 4

WTF! Our p***y jockeys are protesting again. This is embarrassing. Have they even seen Parx racing lately? Maybe i am wrong, but the track looks adequate compared to the overseas racing i have been watching lately.

IT is their right to protest BUT why not do it at 16h00 - why wait - If they don't want to race fair enough but then give punters fair warning - Amazing to me that people who DEPEND solely on Punters money for an income have so little respect for us - I wonder if these guys saw how LOW the pools were on local Racing yesterday after a few days of rain
p6 Nov 14 Net Pool = R 1232873.71
p6 yesterday Vaal Net Pool = R 705065.37 all the other exotics also way down -

Of course they have the right to protest, but that does not change the fact that our jockeys are a bunch of pissies. But the decision to abandon the meeting is unanimous, and what do i know, so i should probably not complain. At least there is money for tomorrow...
