Sunny day with a strong headwind.
Race 1- no selection
Race 2. Radiant Love had 3 moderate runs in the winter going, and showed good improvement at his last start. He tries the minimum trip, but with the headwind he looks the one to beat. Al Bragga is a strong front runer, but the headwind may catch him out today. Empire Glory is consistent and should be involved in the finish.
Race 3 The two scratchings open this up. Alpha Pappa and Alaskan Night meet again and there is very little between them. The question is whether any of the others can improve enough to trouble these two. Alnwick Castle ran a fair debut and has plenty of scope for improvement. King of the Moment has improved with each run and could pop up.
Elusive Tango is quite a tricky customer, but seems to have responded well at home to some equipment changes, and we are hoping for an improved run.
Race 4. Silver Tiara gets pole position, and although dropping back in trip will enjoy the summer course and I make her the one to beat. Reef Knot and Over the Way are the main dangers. Possibility raced from a very wide draw last time, but a repeat of her penultimate brings her in with a shout.
Race 5. Quickstep Lady is progressive and consistent and is the one to beat. If she fails, then this is wide open.
Race 6. Late at Night and Bag of Tricks look two very decent 3yos, and are my pick to fight it out at the weights., with a marginal preference for Late at Night. There are some tough older horses to contend with, the two best being More Magic and Sovereign Spirit. Padre Pio is also a decent 3yo, but has a much tougher task at the weights.
Race 7. Caribbean Sunset won her maiden comfortably and could follow up, but has a big weight to carry. Its very open, and the light weights Nanna Anna and Fours a Crowd must be respected. Ferrari Red reverts to sprinting,- a repeat of her run on 9th October when narrowly beaten by Larentina at level weights would be good enough to win here.
Race 8 A tricky handicap to end the day. Stopalltheclocks has top sprint form and is the first choice. Theres little between Nasty Harry, Bernie and Celtic Voyager on recent form and all must be respected.

Race 1 - Mifid Two looks a likely improver today.
Race 5 - Honey Pie has done well this distance including second to easy winner Kelpie.

Great run Al Braga. No comment for that run from Fourie.
Race 3 Alpha Pappa to bring it home.

Over the way is overdue. Been running some decent races recently and maybe can get out the maidens today at 7/2
