Thanks Bob... IMO, she probably will win the Majorca not disputing that, i just dont have the same amount of confidence/optimism that many others share about her running and winning the Met as she likes... couple of reasons why, (yes, she is still improving, i just dont think she is at the level yet....) Yes she won well lto, but what in that field would have had a realistic shot at winning the met??? She has met Soqrat over 2000 before receiving 8kg's and finished over a length behind, why would she now suddenly be such a good thing receiving only 5kg's? Yes, she has room for more natural improvement being a 3yo, however, has she improved enough? Lets not forget, in the summer cup, QS had a great race while Soqrat was never better than 3 wide the entire race, QS got first run on Soqrat in the straight, yet after a nightmare race, Soqrat made up the ground and breezed past QS.. How would this change now only receiving 5kg?
Now i know Soqrat has been scratched and QS is lined up for Majorca, i just cant see how QS would have been such a good thing had she lined up for the met...
Not for one second do i disagree that she is a very nice horse, i just dont think she is in the class of Soqrat, Hawwamm, DIA and Rainbow... And i dont think she could beat them only receiving 5kg's atm.....
I am also of the belief that Mdk feels the same way, as if QS was that good right now, i am sure she would have been in the line up come Met day...
