Race One

No.10 UNTAMED TIGER

Last 3runs have been showing signs of form!

1000M....7L off winner (Made steady progress)
1400M....2.55L off the winner (Overraced early)
1200M....2.60L off the winner (Made steady progress)

1400M run was 4.20L infront of ENRIQUE who has come out and won his maiden over the weekend

Stepping back up to the 7F and having Run 5days ago...Fitness and form to break the maiden tag!!

Here are the trainers’ comments ahead of Tuesday’s racing at the Vaal.
January 21, 2020

Race 1

Sean Tarry

No 3 Born In The USA – Should need further.

Joe Soma

No 14 Rockpaperscissors – Quartet chance.

Geoff Woodruff

15 Torben Spirit – Looking for further, will need the run.

Barend Botes

No 5 Semper Fi – Holding form, place chance again.

Fabian Habib

No 16 Twice The Surge – He takes on a competitive maiden field but is fit and well and should have a strong Eachway chance.

Corne Spies

No 13 Kruispad – Hoping for more improvement. Place chance.

Race 2

Paul Peter

No 16 Theatre Of Dreams – Eachway chance.

Mike/Matthew de Kock

No 6 Peaceontherocks – Fit and well, good Eachway chance.

Ashley Fortune

No 8 Paschals Samore – Hoping to run a place.

Fabian Habib

No 15 Maculate – She’s looking for much further but will be running on and could run into the placings.

Corne Spies

No 11 Elusive Breeze – Needs big improvement to feature.

Tyrone Zackey

No 14 Ella Bean – She ran a much better race in her most recent run and I’m hoping for more improvement from her.

Race 3

Erico Verdonese

No 1 Winning Queen – Will need the run.

Robbie Sage

No 14 Euphoriant – Will need the experience.

Barend Botes

No 4 Get Set – Could make the back end of the Quartet.

Ashley Fortune

No 8 Arabella Queen – Needs to show more.

No 16 Olympic Destiny – Will do better over this 1400 meters trip.

Race 4

Mike/Matthew De Kock

No 4 Your Pace Or Mine – Needed last run, hoping for better.

Tyrone Zackey

No 5 Whipping Boy – Won his maiden easily when fitted with the blinkers and I’m hoping for another good run.

Race 5

Corne Spies

No 11 Eurostorm – Will need the run.

Ashley Fortune

No 9 Sullenberger – Expecting another honest run.

Fabian Habib

No 4 Scoop – We have fitted him with pacifiers. It is a competitive field, but he can place.

Race 7

Barend Botes

No 7 Shabba Ranks – This track should suit him, so he must be considered for the exotics.

Fabian Habib

No 4 Corrido – Has his first run for the stable. He’s drawn wide and will need the run.

No 13 Our Man In Havana – He’s extremely well. He is not fully wound up but should still have a strong Eachway shout.

Race 8

Barend Botes

No 2 Too Phat Too Fly – She had a good first run for the stable over 1000 meters which is too short for her and she will be much better suited to the 1400 meters trip.

Corne Spies

No 3 All Of Me – Has a good place chance.

No 9 Gallic Princess – Narrowly beaten last time, hope to go one better.

Race 9

Lucky Houdalakis

No 1 Anagram – Will need the run.

Barend Botes

No 5 Indian Song – She’s been disappointing up to now and I’m just hoping to see some improvement.

Mike/Matthew De Kock

No 9 Flaming Duchess – Having her first run out of maiden company, hoping for a decent run.

Ashley Fortune

No 10 Footstepsintherain – Having her first run out the maidens, hoping to sneak into Quartets.

No 4 Tahitian Orana – If the run has not come too soon, she should run another honest race.

RACE 5

Epic dream (trainers only runner) Stable in form
Sullenberger (Jock's only ride)
Scoop (can go start to finish, with the pacifiers fitted)
Prince of Venice (progress and has the ability to beat this field...but might need a few runs to adjust to new climate)
Moon warrior (chance of penultimate)
Eurostorm (low mass, the one you will least expect especially with the Spies stable)

WOULD GO WINS ON PRINCE OF VENICE

9/1
