"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Thursday 14 August Workings.

Afternoon.
This afternoon's session completed, and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.77 on arrival and then a withdrawal at the off of 6.7%, it didn't make a blind bit of difference as not dropping down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so a bit of a surprise and 'one that got away in hindsight'......
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.8, and with drifting to around 2.88 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.8 max. The lay went and won after looking in trouble, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.8 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.8. The lay again looked in a bit of bother, but dug deep to get the win, so the way it goes. Traders again got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it....
The 4th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.86 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.........
The 5th runner we wanted 3.45, but a non runner and 6.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.3. There was then another non runner and further 14.3% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.97. The price was a well supported 2.62 on arrival and so we had a lay at 2.62. The lay was beaten and so a good result......
The 6th runner we wanted 2.1, and with being 2.0 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.0 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 7th runner we wanted 1.6, and with being around 1.81 on arrival, all strategy play completed and only a bit of trading left on offer, I'm going to concentrate on this evening's racing and get that finalised. Good luck traders with the remainder.
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED...................(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - So a tough start, but no damage done with levels or a win)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target.......They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and after a very poor start they dug deep and broke level after their 4th lay (the 5th runner). So with levels and only one potential lay left and no room at all for error, they stop here...........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 6th runner, and hit their targets on this runner..........That left an insufficient amount left to start another, so they end winning one target...
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.8 max, but a poor result see them go behind early.....They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.8 max, but another poor result see them go further behind.........Then came their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 1.7 max, and a good result see them win a chunk back....Then came their 4th lay (the 5th runner) at 2.62 max, and a good result see them break level and finish level.....
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.8 max. Result negative. Lose £100
Total bank now £300
2nd lay £100 to recoup as much of the £100 @ 2.8 max. Result negative. Lose £100
Total bank now £200
3rd lay £100 to recoup as much of the £200 @ 1.7 max. Result positive. Win £143
Total bank now £343
4th lay £343 to recoup the £57 @ 2.62 max. Result positive. Win £57
Total bank now £400
Overall result. Level.
****************************************
Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £80 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.8 max. Result negative. Lose £80
Total bank now £320
2nd lay £80 to recoup as much of the £80 @ 2.8 max. Result negative. Lose £80
Total bank now £240

Total bank now £354

So with being level and only one potential lay left and no room at all for error, they end here.
Overall result. Level.

'Traders' have won, or broke level on all their trades thus far, so well played and good luck with the remainder..
So builders have a battle early doors, but finish levels, so well battled guys. Rollers got the money after an early battle, so good stuff. Speak soon with this evening's workings.
