You ok with HW replying with why they closed your account?

i agree with LJ but i can only speak abt WSB they suck. At the moment im on a limit.Tote bets R 50. I played a 50 swinger in a race 50x which lost and another swinger in the same race 50x which won it paid me out abt R 1500.00 a few minutes later it was reversed as my 1st sw which lost was my limit bet and 2nd sw should never have been accepted. My arguement why does the system accept it and the answer was it does not recognise duplicate bets. And i asked if 2nd sw lost would i have got a refund answer was no.LJ you are correct our bookies are a rip off as well as betting outlets

the other day i took 14s on eagle alley in race 2 tonight.Meeting was changed to Wed horse was then 5/2 in my opinion bet should stand as it is not a a change in venue or surface but merely a date change that also sucks !

I disagree with this statement. More often than not, I play the open bet because of the value. I much prefer UK and interenational racing instead of local. Sometimes taking your bets on the tote for a couple of hundred would change the dividend drastically because the pools arent always large. I even recall catching the Jackpot Qmix multiple times via open bet. Had this bet been placed on the tote, I would only have collected a fraction of the payout. I support the open bet in all instances except for the Pick6 for obvious reasons. Given the choice, I would only play my P6 on the tote and for all other bets, I would use the open bet.

The main problem I have had and still have today is that all bookies run scared once you started making money. In my case, it was through the open bet as I found it most profitable. A couple of bookies listed above that didnt closed my account refused to let me place open bets online and placed conditions on my account such as calling in bets 10 mins before the off time of a horse race(I suspect they were placing my bets on the tote as I noticed the tote pools suddenly increase from small amounts) and another calling in my bets at any time but they will place my bets on the tote. This defeats the purpose of offering the open bet. And why would I waste my airtime and call in my bets? Really? This is why I have interbet. If i wanted to place my bets on the tote, I would place them online. What is the point of me calling in? Its extremely inconvienient. In any case, these bookies ultimately lost out because they lost my business. Their books will clearly show I definitely lost more than I won.

all you blokes that get limited are very naughty - don't you read the t's & c's? - bookies websites are for "recreational players" only (meaning people who enjoy losing their money)

So an update guys. I decided to give Gbets a chance. Not even a week later and without even making a single withdrawal on my account. I have been limited to a R1000 stake per bet  . These bookies are truly a joke and I have now given up hope.

If you got limited in a week what type of winning bets did you have?

....the long and short of it is that the bookies are trying to defend themselves from tote pool manipulation and the okes that try and strike at them with the manipulated pool open bet.....bookies cant have it all .....they should rather give up the open bet .....rather than limit their clientele and get a bad rap for doing so......

All of them will have you.

Win a little but don’t win for long seems to be what they expect from customers.

...or don’t win at all of course.

Also very poorly policed by the Gambling boards.

Bettingworld, wsb, scorebet, Sunbet, etc etc.

Doesn’t matter which sport it is, if you’re winning too much they’ll find you.

Hollywood have been the best of the bunch in my experience. Their website’s trash though.

Not had many issues with supabets either.

This is the game though, all about margins and making them bucks.

One could argue that if there’s such strict control of winning customers, then better regulation and control if losing customers should also be applied.
