Race 7: Farland , moved up full of running last start and just couldn't get a gap , Anton jumps on now and this could make all the difference.

Well is is the Marcus show at Greyville today. He is aboard all the favourites where he has a mount!
I notice that he wins with the unobvious favourite and loses with the odds-on ones.
Lets see

Greyville
Race 1
Dennis Bosch
No 8 Girl From Ipanema - She's doing quite well in her work and has a
place chance
Jeff Freedman
No 3 Highland Heather comes back from a long rest so may just need it
Race 2
Doug Campbell
No 4 Master George - Will be happy if he can run into a place
Brett Crawford/Peter Muscutt
No 5 Fergie's Rock - Ran a much improved race last time and with the
addition of blinkers this time, he will be competitive.
Mark Dixon
No 12 Sonetlumiere - She's been disappointing up to now, so I'm just
hoping to see some improvement
Paul Lafferty
No 6 Golden Duck - On her work at home she could run into a place
Garth Puller
No 3 Courage To Conquer - Hasn't shown much.
Race 3
Dennis Bosch
No 12 Sigma Alpha - She's possibly looking for this longer trip now
and should be running on nicely at the business end
Race 4
Brett Crawford/Peter Muscutt
No 10 Baby Shoes - Was narrowly beaten in his last two races. He steps
up in trip which should suit him and although he would prefer the
turf, he will run well again.
No 6 Divine Hugh - Is progressing well but it is his first run out of
maiden company. Quartet inclusion.
Race 5
Dennis Bosch
No 6 Ilha Da Var - Has been costing herself at the gates but she has a
nice light weight and if she does jump on terms could surprise, so
warrants inclusion.
Garth Puller
No 7 First Sighting - She probably prefers the turf track but she is
doing nicely and should be right there.
No 4 Noemi - Comes back to 1000 meters which should suit her and I'm
hoping for a nice run
Race 6
Wayne Badenhorst
No 1 Lady Legend - She does seem to have a preference for the turf
track but is working well at home and i'm expecting a good run
Doug Campbell
No 4 Ooh La La - All of her wins have been on the turf. However she is
well and I'm hoping she does better on the poly track this time.
Brett Crawford/Peter Muscutt
No 6 Oloye - She's having her first race back since September last
year. She ran two solid barrier trials and could run into the money.
Garth Puller
No 6 Great Guy - He had a recent set back so has been off work for a
while and may just need it.
Race 7
Doug Campbell
No 1 Farland - He's very well and with Anton Marcus aboard he should
stand a very good chance
Mark Dixon
No 5 Presumptuous - If he behaves on the day and manages to get some
cover in running, he could make the quartet.
Race 8
Doug Campbell
No 4 Maxima - He's been re-equipped with the blinkers and I'm hoping
to see some improvement
No 7 Rocket Rhumba - Pulled up distressed last time but it was an
extremely hot day and the run should be ignored. He does have a
preference for the poly and I'm expecting a good run
Brett Crawford/Peter Muscutt
No 11 Matchless Captain - Is fit and well. He can prove to be an
awkward customer and also has a tricky draw but the step up in trip
should suit him
and he's in with a place chance
Paul Lafferty
No 5 Vision To Glory - Although he is bed for further, we have
equipped him with blinkers and with Anton Marcus up, he should be a
major runner
Garth Puller
No 10 Cherokee Chief - He had a nice last run but is drawn out wide so
hoping to see him running on at the end.
No 2 Drambuie - He's been disappointing so far, so i'm trying the
blinkers in the hope of seeing some improvement
Turffontein
Race 1
Clinton Binda
No 4 Bahlebonke will need the run
Heather Adamson
No 5 Diamonds 'N Dust will need the experience
Paul Peter
No 6 Fromheretoeternity shows pace could place.
Chris Erasmus
No 11 Summer Sport is a nice filly but will be green
Paul Matchett
No 12 Tequila will need the run
No 16 War Of Athena will need the run
Lucille Kruger
No 13 Timeforthat will need the run
Race 2
Paul Matchett
No 2 Andries will need the run
No 6 Forever Light will need the run
No 12 Procrastinate will need the run
Sean Tarry
No 4 Eagle Alley seems like he should need further but will be running on
Mathew de Kock
No 5 Edaara might just need the run but does have an each-way chance
Heather Adamson
No Sierradel Tasierra will need the experience
Race 3
Mathew de Kock
No 1 Gin Fizz has an each-way chance
Race 4
Gary Alexander
No 6 Master And Man has a good each-way chance
No 7 Kamakura is out at the weights
Race 5
Gary Alexander
No 5 Unagi has a place chance
Race 6
Lucky Houdalakis
No 2 Mr Flood is fit and well and I am hoping for the best
Robbie Sage
No 3 William The Silent; I am expecting him to put in a decent performance
Race 7
Gary Alexander
No 6 Magic School has a wide draw but does have a place chance
Mathew de Kock

hopeful that they can place
Race 8
Mathew de Kock
No 1 Frosted Gold is fit and well
Fabian Habib
No 6 Youcanthurrylove has had a good prep and is very well. It is a
tough race and 1800m-2000m is his optimum trip. He should be very
competitive
Paul Peter
No 8 Arapaho is in with a place chance
Robbie Sage
No 10 Green Laser: This distance is a bit short for him but he is well
within himself.

Does Cecil watch the race in the studio?
All he had to say that the favourite was disappointing.
Maybe if he pays attention he would know why.

Cecil is this enigma to me, when he shouldn't be talking, he can't stop, when he should be talking, it's drivel.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
