Are you saying there was licensed stable employees involved?

......the Bremner outfit were not skint on grooms before the initial horse stabbing.....40 or so for 110 horses.... a big yard and a significant employment provider.....yet since the groom strike(walk out) 11 people have been coping since February.....Headley seems to have opened a can of worms regarding grooms accommodation which now must be addressed and sorted out.....as one cannot expect people(other trainers grooms) to live in the bush and not behave like savages.....in no way am I condoning their actions.....but again the once mighty corporate operator failed to address a transformation issue and like the Newmarket grooms accommodation debacle bamboozled stakeholders in the closing and move from Newmarket.....and pocketed the R30BAR......however in PE they side stepped the issue by paying off stakeholders to either pocket the contribution for accommodation or use it to provide accommodation.....

That was a very powerful interview and a must listen for all people in racing especially the authorities.

When people say they have written to Phumelela, who do they actually write to? as I regard myself as a racing man and have no idea who is running the show or is left from the previous structure?

surely this is a simple problem to communicate and solve.

numbers

13 trainers in PE . Prior to Bremner retiring
Are they all based at Fairview. i.e. using Phumelela facilities. Kaknis,Turner,Zietsothers might be on private establishments. just guessing
Horses in training somewhere between 600 - 800 horses. Before Bremner retired.
so on 4 grooms per horse 150 -200 people. if 3 as per Craig 200 -260 staff members.
add say 30 general workers accross the 13 yards
the rest of staff should be registered with NHRA.

P could quite easily clear up the dust and solve this problem with some communication and targets actions. not just vague Press releases when they come out.

is ot more complicated ?

Don’t want to detract from the very emotional interview but is it normal for Hedley to have a Xmas tree up in September?

.....with all the sh!t under the carpet......that rug is just not big enough.....but again Phum or what is left of it cannot do a damned thing....there are no funds left to even start plugging holes.....also unfair on MOD to expect to shell out more dosh, as now these unforeseen expenses like adequate grooms facilities will start racking up more than they envisaged.....somehow people have to go and look in the records of where or to whom money was advanced and try recoup and put it back to use for what it was actually intended.....also from the interview it seems that some of the Phum assets/property at the racecourse also being sold or divided.....and yes there should be clarity on what has happened and what is happening to try and rectify this situation....

Lion Hunting, bull fighting, whale hunting etc happens all the time.

Google horrific abuse of animals...it's shocking what people are capable of.

Not really sure what you trying to point out here Lionel.
We talking about people who are employed to care for these animals not the japanese whale hunters or the yanks coming to Africa to kill a trophy lion.
Posters would still have the same opinion wether the savages that did this where Indian,Chinese,Mexican or any other race group so bringing the race card up is really not necessary.

Durbs, anyone with a double digit IQ will figure out what I'm saying. No explanation necessary.

As for the race card, if you read my post SLOWLY, you will decipher that I am actually saying the opposite.

However, I do find it your selections of nationalities to use as examples quite revealing.

Stick to counting shoe coming off at the start, Durbs.

Thanks Easy, sounds wonderful and as I mentioned not to detract from a very strong emotional plea from both Hedley and Mike.
