Yes, I think he was gelded as well.

I think this is another confirmation of the sign of the times in our racing - there's not a sustainable market for foals in this country any more and a new sire has little to no chance of making it in this environment.

Viva Rio is now also sold, has already been scratched from the Derby.

Viva Rio our strong derby favorite out. I really feel sorry for anyone who took antepost on this horse,especially the stable has been talking for a long time about this race was their mission and betting was out for weeks.
Sometimes I wonder...Maybe it is good if our export rules remain tough, I know M de Kock and others have been fighting for a long time to change it but I think it’s really to suit them so they can take away our top horses as they start to show then our racing will just be for average runners.

I'm almost positive that there was talk before this season that Undercover Agent may have been retired - but they decided to give him 1 more year, which, considering his earnings of R 58 000 was neither here nor there, but a definite pointer that his best days were coming to an end.

He's won almost R 6 Million in his lifetime, so how do you justify selling him to the island as an almost 6 year old ?

Pretty sure Bortz confirmed that his plans after retirement were to send Undercover Agent to stud - but like Hassen Adams - it seems there's no loyalty to the horse when the money comes knocking #ThumbsUpEmoji
