Is Wuhan Corona Virus final death Knell to Phumelela
5 years 5 months ago
I see Premier League soccer has been suspended until early April.
with sports betting seemingly the big money spinner for Phumelela and further risk to all sporting events over the next 4 - 6 weeks at the very least.
will Phumelela survive what will be a big hit to their betting revenue?

This may not be as flippant a question as what some people think. It is well known that Phumelela have roughly a months reserves on current performance. If it were to receive significant hits on that revenue, we may all be blessed to witness its demise sooner than expected. Yesterday the share hit 127 and it got the obligatory bump up this morning - its tottering on the edge.

There will be no Phoenix racing faces a long and challenging road.
I cannot see the current model surviving ie, 7 days of racing a week. Phumelela have stripped the bones out of the carcass.

It will be business as usual then for SA racing as there are no spectators at racing anyway

.....it is all about revenue streams that keeps Phumelela afloat.....and they seem to have no clue what to do....if they lose half the soccer bets revenue they bite the dust big time.....this was a passive income but overly promoted ...and suddenly now I notice hardly any of this promotion at this point in time ....yet here comes the roulette and a poor tacky display reminiscent of a 1980's Atari video game.....:S

.....for this tacky Atari styled video game to attract the casino punters on mass......the virus would have to bite big time here stopping die hard punters going to casinos and while quarantined at home get their fix from the wheel...
....a bit of a knee jerk as they need to get over the soccer venue cancellation hurdles that will strangle their current revenue before the virus becomes a possible pandemic here......
