@Durbs
100% you make a true and valid assumption of the current state and the short term future. Personally I am just gathering numbers at the moment. SABOAT.org will be created as a legal entity and handed over the the committee once the numbers are there. Should they want me on or if I get voted on then Ill continue to strife for the protection and sustainability of SA racing.
More to the point with regards new owners. Personally I think we should be going through the owners we have lost and re engage with them. Most owners don't race for money and never have.
We at the International Racing Club when we sell a share to a new owner we tell them " this horse will probably run last every time BUT WE promise you a special experience every time it runs and even when it does not"
For me a lot of the gripes with the previous people is NOT only about missing money and mismanagement Its about the disconnect with the majority by the minority.
I would champion fixing that.

I have spoken to both Justin and his brother. 100% they have the best interest of SA racing at heart. We agreed on almost everything except for the deafening silence from behind the scenes and Ill state here for the record , for me it matters not who comes in and what is going on behind the scenes. Owners and trainers across the land are freaking out with uncertainty and once again we have the behind the doors scenario.
Im hoping we can sort this but ultimately who polices the police?

Racing’s road ahead
“Slowly the right people are being put in the right positions to turn this industry around. I’m very happy to see new faces in the right places, and see light at the end of the tunnel. We will figure it out.
“There is so much effort going on behind the scenes to revive SA racing, and there are changes coming. Things may have to get worse before they get better, but racing will come out stronger in the long run” concludes the natural optimist.
Well at least Justin appears to know what's happening??
Good news at last ?
You can take it EASY

I’m hearing 40k Stakes when we return
What’s that 20k for winning?

The ONLY reason we racing for less stakes is the mismanagement of our sport for decades. No other reason not CV19 export protocol Asian Con zero.
Its the plundering and mismanagement that has us in this state and MY question and reluctance to deal with anyone associated with the past is precisely that I don't trust their form.
As for the "new co" the fact that it will probably be headed by "the in the know " people I ask them why THEY ONLY became enlightenment NOW. Their silence also contributed to our situation. Had any of the BIG owners or TRAINERS put their marker in the sand in the past we would not be this desperate now.
thats my cents.

I wish you all the best with what you;'re trying to achieve because i love racing, and miss it already
Remember i am only a small punter and do it as a hobby and after 40odd years it's still a rush when i win R5 k with my small bets
So, GOOD LUCK, hope it happens sooner rather than later

....Easy i have revived this thread as you are sniping at the PTB or the inner circle as you believe from too many other threads....frankly all you are doing is rubbing the right people the wrong way....the RA is not all bad now that Larry Wainstein is out of the picture...and so what if they are going to splash 2 BAR or even get him for less....that person is going to have to earn it.....so they seem to be counting on Phum not folding...lets hope they have a chosen leader and a people pleaser because....they will have to run and guide Phum... because frankly Phum lacks leadership and other necessary skills frankly a headless flapping chicken in a crisis....and should Phum go t!ts up they will still have to pick up the mantle and lead ....so we wait in anticipation for the other shoe to drop and see who they place on top....if he is not up to scratch.....then see the rage and decent and only then you can put the boot in and have a crack ...

Anybody know whatever happened to this joke ?
'will rock you all to your inner core as owners and trainers in South Africa'
The only boat in history to have had a shorter lifespan than the Titanic.
