Have been told by an impeccable source.

I'm not sure if its only for this year or a total withdrawal.

Eish. The biggest racing event in S.A.
may not have sponsors lining up to take over.
Is the EPSOM DERBY sponsored by a S.A. company?
Imagine Nedbank Cup being played by Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Spurs etc........in UK.

Knowing your source and more than confident to take a straight R1000 bet. Loser pays to the Coastal Horse Care Unit. The bet is simple. I say Vodacom does not sponsor this year's July.

Vodacom will ONLY pull out of this year's July if the course is open to the public. The same applies to Super Rugby. They are careful not to be involved as Sponsors where people could be exposed to Corona, en masse.

However, we must wait to see what Govt conditions will be, for after end April.

If the July is run under lockdown conditions, without the public there, Vodacom will remain as sponsors this year and thereafter.

If the July is run with the public there, they will skip this year and carry on next year and also add a year onto their existing contract.

Vodacom remain the sponsor of the July.

The heading of this thread and the first post could have been different, given all of the facts....

Blah blah do we have a bet?

I will disclose upfront that my source will settle should he be proven wrong.

I suggest you do likewise however it's interesting that we have already gone from a utter bullshit to a what if scenario.

Feeling Hawkish?
