Robert Bloomberg takes the cake, he thinks so much of himself that resignation letter had me in tears! What a $XNT! How many reputations did he allegedly destroy in his time and allegedly through the sporting post? Who takes over now? Have you read the names on the ra cape chapter? What a bunch of rich kids and not one could help with cash, don’t let them get their hands on any pen or phones ffs! And Please please don’t tell me Jono the snaxxx is rubbing his hands to take over because I’ve been there most of childhood and young adult life and that now is a proper mrknowitall but he does ffff all and just loves the spot light and runs everyone down, that’s a proper dxxxs! No future there that’s why I left, shut the place down it runs at a loss every year for the last 20 years and like Bloomberg says they get a quarter of the National stakes pot and give us nothing back for it in turnover. I think it’s the biggest waste of millions going down a pit, don’t they know they lost loyal punters years ago. All that money in the pools on a cape race day I bet you only 20% of that money comes from Cape Town itself. Let the Cape trainers pack up and move north, don’t get left boys we’ve only got about 400 broken boxes left at the Vaal but I think it should be fine that’s the entire horse population anyway in the WC. That place cost a lot more than Kimberley so let’s play fair, close it down.

I must say that about 27 years ago I spent 2 weeks punting in various "totes" in the Cape and I could not believe how empty those places were

Sorry Mr Hawaii, Sir, please remind me again what these ‘totes’ are?

I think that they may have faded out of existence.

(Tongue in cheek, Coronavirus hastening their demise)

In all seriousness, there was a thread entitled ‘salute the tote trash’ recently. That was on pint in how the ‘powers that be’ seem to despise the humble tote player yet, as evidenced by the recent drop in pools, it is this humble tote player on whose backs the industry is carried.

I come from a sept of the Clan McLean of Duart from the Isle of Mull.

More crying at the loss of such good bloodstock in the local industry :(
