TOP Brazilian turf milers Snack Bar and Uigur, recent one-two finishers in the Grande Premio Presidente da Republica (Brz-G1) on August 3, are being pointed at the 2009 Dubai International Racing Carnival.

Trainer Antonio Cintra said a trip to Dubai is in the offing for both Group 1 winners, plus the promising Embalo, Super Class, Alcomo and Amigo Gaucho.

"All horses are in my stable and the plan with all of them is to target the 2009 Carnival," said Cintra.

Snack Bar, a three-year-old Signal Tap colt out of the Jules mare Magma Rock, recently completed a four-timer when posting an impressive three-and-a-half length victory over Uigur in the Grande Premio Presidente da Republica at Hipodromo La Gavea.

Uigur, a four-year-old Astor Place colt out of the Most Welcome mare Vespera, has won four of 14 starts and placed six other times, including a one-and-a-quarter length triumph in the Grande Premio Presidenta da Republica- Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva (Brz-G1) in May.
Embalo, among Sao Paulo's top-rated juvenile colts on the dirt last season, captured four of six starts at two for trainer Valter dos Santos Lopes, including scores in the Grande Premio Antenor Lara Campos (Brz-G2) and Grande Premio Presidente Augusto De Souza Queiroz (Brz-G3).

The promising three-year-old chestnut son of Boatman out of the Purple Mountain mare Shirley Purple, was recently acquired by Abdul Rhaman Al Jasmi of Bahrain.

Multiple group stakes winner Alcomo, a five-year-old son of Rainbow Corner out of the Tokatee mare Amazing Singer, has also joined Cintra's stable for new owner Al Jasmi.

Stud Art & Ort's homebreds Super Class and Amigo Gaucho, will also target a Dubai campaign under Cintra's tutelage.

Super Class, a Public Purse colt out of the Clackson mare England's Rose, was mostly recently third in theGrande Premio Juliano Martins (Brz-G1) in May.

Super Class, a full older brother Amigo Gaucho, was runner-up in this year's Brazilian classics, the Grande Premio Cruzeiro do Sul (Brz-G1) (Rio de Janeiro's Derby) and Grande Premio Francisco Eduardo dePaula Machado (Brz-G1).
