Thanks Charl - always interesting to see how others rate the races; concur more or less with most, although I do not agree with the ratings for the Computaform Sprint - for me the top ones ran way below their best and I find it hard to believe that Rivarine suddenly improved 20 pounds - so for me I think your ratings are about 12 pound too high - but hey, each to his own.
Also would be interested to hear how you arrive at the ratings for the 2 year olds - do you start off each juvenile at a 'standard' rating in their debuts, or ...?

Hi Frodo, Rivarine already had a much improved run in his previous. I was very disappointed with Mr Flood's run yesterday. Singforafa also ran 5th yesterday that proves the form to me. Anyway my computer does al the calculations, so the wfa and that stuff is all constant but the line horse is definitely dabatable.
As for the 2 year olds I use lots of data and averages for the race class and my line horse is a median horse according to my data, so it comes down to how easy the winner has beaten the average median horse in the race.

Thanks Charl - ito Rivarine, I would rather suggest that the ratings in the Pinnacle were too high as well - anyway to each his own.
As for the juveniles, I am always interested to find a better way to rate them - surely one has to use some sort of base rating to rate the first juvenile race of the season - and ratings can only really be justified when they start competing against their elders ... so for me each juvenile should have 2 ratings - one 'guesstimate'' to use when racing against their own age group - and then another 'real' rating to be achieved when they start racing against their elders ...
