The numbers don't lie!! After yesterday's debacle not one single post on todays local meeting !! Anyone know what happened to Easys concerned owners group? Also seems to have gone very quite . Overseas racing seems to be the way to go.

How are the Pools doing these days MissT ?

Hear there`s not been one meeting even close to covering their costs yet...

Bob the pools have increased from that first week back but nowhere near what they were and I'm sure you are correct about covering costs. Would be interesting to see how bookies are doing just on Horseracing compared to pre lockdown. Notice each day on the Tote online site that they have some sort of banking problem and its been going on forever. They just can't seem to understand what fast effective efficient service is.

Having said all that I do think Barak in race 4 is a P6 banker and worth a decent punt.

Morning all, it's my first post although I've been a lurker for a long time. I'm from the UK but love South African racing because of the value odds we can get over here. Just wanted to say a big thank you to Bob Brogan who does so much to keep us updated with all the meetings. The trainer comments and links to the free Computaform are fantastic and give us all a better chance of finding a winner.

Thanks also to the other regular posters who mark our card, don't want to start naming others as I'm bound to forget somebody but you know who you are.

I have a few jockeys and trainers for certain courses that I tend to follow otherwise I look at the form and back when I'm getting a bigger price than I should (I use the betting exchanges)

Good luck to all.

Race 1 Miss Elegance is a cut above the rest here, but must overcome a wide draw.
Race 2 Nourbese two very good recent runs and a good draw. On breeding should enjoy the step up in trip. Main danger is Euro Cent.
Race 3. Strydom should again be involved in the finish on Rose Dancer, but Sweet and Spicy has more scope for improvement
race 4 Cairon disappointed last time but is consistent and again gets a nice draw. GI Joe below best last time but is capable.Barak went close last time and despite the draw should again be in the mix.Eppagilia has also been very consistent. El Romiachi and Ideal man can run into the quartets.
Race 5 Open handicap
Race 6 Kayla's Champ is thrown in at the weights here even before the 4kg claim, and I am surprised that she is not favourite. Putontheredlight is next best weighted and if fit and back to best must be respected. Riverstown is talented, and good recent form, but must overcome a wide draw.
Our filly Secret Dream gets a nice draw and should have come on from her sprint. She has a few lengths to find over the three mentioned, but could run a place.
Race 7 Open handicap
Race 8 Another open handicap. We are running Encryption from a bad draw as there are no other races for her for a few weeks. Very tough ask this course and distance, but we got lucky from a wide draw at the Vaal last time and she does have gate speed on her side.

Bookies are not at the level they were pre lockdown

It’s understandable that the gambling rand has been reduced by many businesses under pressure or closed.
Unemployment at an all time high.
