Race 2 Soveriegn Rose the one to beat. Sonic Burst the next best of the raced runners. What a Flight gets the weight off and should come on from the debut run. First Timers could be anything.
Race 3 Hoedspruit is the one to beat. The two Kotzen runners good debuts in the wet going and not much between them. Stable jockey may have picked the wrong one.
Race 4 Snaith has 4 of the remaining 6 runners and any could pop up. Black Belt is consistent but one must assume the 4yos have more scope for improvement.
Race 5 Fynbos spent May on the farm and has been back in training since begin June. May need this run back slightly and a poor draw. She is probably better over further so if she runs a place here I'll be happy. Our Prized Jewel looks progressive and still ahead of the handicapper. Jolly Josephine well in with the paper weight. Not much between the others.
Race 6 Very open race. I agree that the appie allowance on Rock Trip may prove decisive.
Race 7 Secret Depths also spent the month of May on the farm, and this is too short for her. Has a good turn of foot so could run on into the money running fresh but this is a prep run so no expectations Another very open race.
Race 8 Same applies to Grey Princess and not much expected this trip. On Captain's Side is the one to beat in another open race..
