JP Van Der Merwe and Ryan Munger at Kranji

You reckon it's worthwhile for them to ride in Singapore?
Not sure what the money is like compared to HK but how does it compare to our racing?
JP doing ok,10 wins with a strike rate of just under 6% and lying 8th in the jockey championship.
Ryan 5 wins strike rate just under 5% and 12th in the championship.
Honestly I thought both would be in the top 5 by now.
Duric by far the best there but I would have thought they better than 90% of the jockeys riding there.
Most SA jockeys riding in Kranji just don't seem to get the big stables supporting them.
Barend Vorster was the most successful I think.

Sure they will both do well...

Things would have been tough when they were under lockdown for months... Singapore is very expensive

But the prize money over there is huge compared to the pittance on offer here

2 wins and 2 seconds for JP
3 fourths and a third for Munger

Munger does not appear to be riding at his best.

Munger very good at Flamingo Park.
JP always a consistent rider,a bit underrated in my eyes.

......Munger piloted a no hoper at huge odds into 4th place on Sunday......had it in my swingers but did not play for 4 places @Hollywood.....:sick:
