Not striding out as well as I would have liked...
Lord Grantham...EW
box sw with Persica and KotD
he would have been extremely unlucky to lose...was hampered twice

My unasked for advise or what worked for me is this, stop playing perms.
Be more selective with your single win bets.
it works
Biscuit...I tend to agree with you...but there is little money unless you bet large...
I have no idea how you guys select a P6...because clearly...using form...only works some times...
I like to select to post, because I feel that I can see the horse's well-being...
Otherwise...I've seen a stable have a poor meeting, when by all accounts their horses should be winning...but their horses normally show it to post...
the last race was a case in point...my pre-race selection was King of the Delta...it hardly lifted its front legs to post...by contrast...Lord Grantham went down like a machine...but the fact that there was no money threw me off a bit...
bottom line...I would not have had it in any P6 that I would have chosen today...unless I had the Field...which is pretty unlikely...

Got you key word went down like a machine = 100wins = 2300 profit.
You can make money on selective singles by using perm money.
If you played perms there would be nothing left to put on a machine like trotter

That's the whole point Pirho.
We should expect the trainers to bring the horses to the course in top shape and all should be trying to win.
Yes we can see which horse is not ready or not fit on the way to the start but that really doesn't help the punters playing the PA,jackpot or pick 6.
Why we get so many Pick 6 carryovers is that form doesn't stand up because we can't always count on the trainers to bring the horses fit to the course.
They either going for another race or they want to bring the MR down,we just don't know exactly what the trainer is trying to do.
These are hard times and there will always be trainers scheming something up to get some extra bucks.
And after all that we still got to count on the jockeys to use their head and give the horse every chance to win.

R5: Could be a bit if a surprise here - Wonderful Rock not guaranteed to stay the extra 200 - Watching Closely needs to reproduce her last effort - for me I know Miss Cap Mala is very moderate, but at 10s I think she represents the each-way value with Nabeela her biggest challenger
R6: An extremely closely matched field of fillies and mares; Rabia the Rebel boasts a win and a 2nd over this track and trip and I will definitely include her in all bets; Franklin improved over ground last time and can't be ignored - but would not like to be caught short in the exotics here
R7: Another difficult race to predict; anything possible
R8: Smaller field at least - also fancied Ring of Fire, but the value is gone; Isphan should be right there with the other Peter runners
R9: Unfortunately not an easy close - a roughie that if returning to his best could blow every one away in the last leg of the P6, is Brightnumberten, while Lord Grantham now gets a run and also looks way over-priced at the weights - also getting another 1.5 kgs off courtesy of the apprentice; Touch of Fate best over the minimum trip and another who imo provide value at big odds
Very tough racing the last 5 races - so although it should be a 5-legged P6, I think it will still pay very well
Enjoy
Not too badpity about that Peters bomb in the first leg of the P6

I missed your great assessment...once again, Frodo...particularly of the last race...and as usual...so early in the day...

If I had to play a P6, I would definitely use your selections as a yardstick...

and some of the other shrewd punters on this forum...they just need to post more often...
