The talk about Alacritas on course couldn't have been too strong if the late money all came for Copper Mountain.

Trainers forgotten how to use appies for front runners....if My Lady was ridden by claimer Zuma 4kg that horse would have won.....weight is often more important with average horses than Jockey ability....

It is one of the reasons that I love the early races...and the step up to the 1400/1600 distances with the babies...especially at Scottsville, which I regard as a difficult track...The undulating run-in to the finish...kills many a poor unsustained finish...:ohmy:
Another reason to follow certain jocks/trainers...who have understood this and use it to their advantage...
supports my reasons for the step up in distance...
