Lily Blue
4 years 9 months ago - 4 years 7 months ago
Lily Blue, who won Zimbabwe's 2020 Triple Tiara and two legs of the Triple Crown left the Stidolph yard this morning and is on her way to South Africa.
The daughter of Black Minnaloushe (USA) will join Paul Matchett's stable and all Zimbabwe's racing fans are hoping she will do us proud.
Go well Lily Blue.

That's good. She was beating the same 3 or 4 horses each time. Let's see how good Zimbabwe horses are.

When I first saw that Lily Blue's first race in SA is a handicap I thought great, but, on further inspection, there are also other quality fillies in the race.
Not only is Tahitian Orana on a hattrick but Winning Form (WF) says she won both her last starts "cosily".
So too is Elusive Force, on a hattrick, and according to WF, "cruised in" on her penultimate start.
Prior to the Empress Club where something went wrong with her, Wylie Wench won three-in-a-row and also "cruised-in" on her punultimate run.
Although WF has printed Lily as the WF 2/1 favourite this race is certainly not the easiest handicap but one can only play one's cards dealt to one. My money will still be on Lily even if I rate her price about 5/1. All the best.
