Spring has arrived in CT- sunny and a gentle south easter ( headwind). Course should dry out further during the day,, but will start off yielding.
Race 1Stuck on You looks the right one on form, but stable jockey on the first timer Rain in Newmarket so be careful. Ohwhatanight good debut and is the main danger. Variety Breeze and Lady Catherine decent form and can earn. Domeyer rides first timer So flawless for Nel- wide draw but this combination always warrant respect.
Race 2 The Black Manx good first run and is selected to beat Lite of my Life. Not much between them on debut runs, and the latter can be forgiven it’s second run in very wet going. Quite a few that can step up from fair debuts so this is not just a boat race.
Race 3 This is a very open maiden. Turn it up Harvey flopped in the heavy going last time but is much better than that. Again a number of runners which ran decent debuts and can step up to win.
Race 4 Cut Glass wide draw but has the best form and gets 4kg off, so the one to beat. Duplicity and Regina Isabella good debuts and should challenge. Ballroom Bliss also tough draw but should enjoy the longer trip.
Race 5 Helen’s Ideal won well last time when still not at peak fitness, and is down in class but gets a big weight. The 4kg claim will help, and I’m expecting a big run from her again. On Captains Side ignore last run when stirrup broke- is still on the up and a big runner. Alsflamingbeauty is very well in at the weights and is the one we all have to beat. A couple of others with chances but these three my shortlist.
Race 6 An open handicap. Snaith a very strong hand and all of his have chances, although La Quinta and Aye Aye presumably the preferred two. Eye Catching still plenty of scope for improvement and should challenge.
Race 7 Naval Secret is short priced but is a very smart sort and should win this. Red Eight and Pink Floyd look next best.
Race 8 A very tricky race to end the day. I liked Zeb at the weights, but now he’s scratched looks like a field leg.

Race 1 - Variety Breeze ran against winners last start this cd and should come on for the run. Place.

Tour de France stage 9 today - Julian Alaphilippe quite far behind in general classification so should be allowed in potential early breakaway. He is excellent on the downhill and today's course suits.

Naval Secret you could get 2-1 at some stage maybe even better with WSB.
Nearly 3 times it's original price and ran accordingly to not even get a place.
