It would be interesting to actually start making a list of the trainers and one can work it out from there. As certain farriers work for different trainers.

Maybe a very quick solution that could be trialed - Any shoe off and the horse is automatically scratched - Try it for 6 months and see if it helps. Same as horses that won't load or jump slow - Automatic 30 day suspension - second offense 3 months - Third 6 months - Look after punters (and owners who pay for horses that are not conditioned properly)

How long was that before we actually got a horse to lose a shoe in Australia?
And we see probably 5 or 6 meetings a day compared to one meeting a day in SA.

It's pathetic isn't it.
I just hope Andrew Bon has read this topic and now goes on his fact finding mission to ask why does this happen 1000% (that's probably conservative) more in South Africa than it does the rest of the world combined.
We got a problem here and as soon as the powers that be try to address it the better for all.
