Will keep an eye on Ziets runners where Cana is probably worth an ew at 8/1.

Plus congratulations on acquiring Atyaab to his string.

Plus congratulations on acquiring Atyaab to his string.

Its raining here from yesterday afternoon and not stopping . Luckily we on the poly so no concerns . Horses looks really well and we will trying our very best . I also think she is big value at that price and Oscar deserves a win for supporting me in a big way.
Atyaab on his way to be trained by me is a massive honour and responsibility but im super excited and blessed to have an owner like Suzette Viljoen putting so much faith in me.

All the best to Zietz & Oscar, difficult card but I think that Modakhar & Cana will be a good ew double. Go Zietz !!

Looks a very nice card today.
race 1 Tevye and Lookout House of the raced runners should fight it out, but Lady in Waiting seems a springer.
Race 2 Ryanair should get it right today, but a very competitive maiden and all of 3, 5,6,7,8,9 would not be a surprise
Race 3 Modakhar a wide draw but is still my narrow first choice from Find me Unafraid and Moon Game, add 8,9,10 into quartets
race 4 Cecca won a good race last time and I don't think that the handicapper has been unkind so she's my first choice here. Proclaimer has good form giving the stable a very strong hand. Blue Duchess next best.
Race 5 Fly My Flag very impressive when breaking the course record, and I think still well weighted off 91, and she's my pick to follow up here despite a big step up in class. Brandina and Captain Anne Bonny must always be respected and Travel in Style is nicely weighted as well.
Our mare, Twin Falls won a gutsy race last time and expecting another honest run but she's a bit worse off at the weights with those she beat.
Race 6 I'm again going with a 3yo recent maiden winner in Stranger Danger to follow up as I think also not badly treated by the handicapper for a facile win. Tiger Star with the 4kg claim may be the main danger.
Race 7 A very tough race. If Quinlan at his best then the one to beat but comes off a long break. Dancing in Seattle and Kimberley Star must be respected in this lineup. Hooves of Troy and Viking Moon are improving 4yos so must have a shout as well.
Race 8 Another 3yo that impressed me last time Coup de Tete is my first choice in an otherwise very open race.

Geez Forest Of Green was giving an oh so easy ride, one smack when the jockey knew he couldn't win from that position.
And the winner was it's stable companion, both Smith horses.
Probably would have got into big shit if he beat the stable companion but I hope the stewards question the lightie.

I think you are being harsh- from a wide draw, and a horse that clearly will need further, I can't fault the appie for arriving late on the scene. Certainly a horse to follow next time over further.

You probably right PeterD but we all know how shrewd old Smith and Greeff are and I wouldn't put anything past them. You got to admit that it wasn't an all out trying ride though, could have got stuck in much earlier if he wanted.
