Fairview Commentary

Listening to Bumpy call the horses down to the start, I realized that we took for granted the uniqueness of the Fairview racing experience, compared to the other venues. I feel like the current situation of having him call at the course, but getting Ali to call for TT is really discriminatory against Bumpy. Sure he gets carried away at times, but in hindsight, it added to the excitement of punting at Fairview. Ali is doing a really great job, mind you, so this is not about that at all.

As such, I thought, let's have a check of who the punters prefer hearing call the horses at Fairview? Results should interesting. Please vote in the Poll.

Not that it will help as the second fav not placed. The handler was still trying to move her head back to her stall. Should have been a false start. Even bumpy was not sure if he should continue commentating.

.....I recall that it was Rob Scott that was yielding to the demands of the many viewing punters complaining to have Bumpy bumped.....:oops:

......surely now that TT and Phum are under pressure to limit costs the situation should be resolved and only one commentator.....one can hear Bumpy on the clean racing feed.....:dry:

I prefer Alistair because he's more precise but I do enjoy Bumpy because of his quirks...
If Ali is calling from TV...then it would be a no brainer to retain him...but I don't know the arrangements.
