SNAITH TO OPEN YARD IN KZN

Seriously?

At which point is anyone going to ask the question about Cape trainers with satellite yards that cannot fill fields in their own backyard?

A week back there was a maiden plate with 6 runners and this week there is a MR75 Hcp with 5 runners....

Raised the discussion point not for KZN protectionist debate but simply because the satellite yards should be held to filling their fields in their own home town year round before being granted boxes in other provinces.

Cape fields are pathetic and this leads to low interest from punters and poor product being offered week in and week out to punters. With exception of the main Cape season the rest of the year you could close Cape racing and offer other centers more meetings.
