Race 1 Val gardenia definetly worth a bet e/w especially at 4/1 a place.

Now going over to 1400m in the kenilworth long straight

Great to be back at Kenilworth and to kick off with the 3 yo Gr 2 races. Going should be quite fast.
Race 1 Queen Niyabah and Wild Creature should fight this out. Cut Glass, In Your Time should be in the shake-up. Silver Sabre is hard to assess- older filly fair debut and could surprise.
Race 2 Mach Four is a narrow first choice from Legitimate and Benjamin which have wide draws to overcome. Dollar Brand and Moroccan Retreat could sneak into the places. Divergent fair debut and could show big improvement.
Race 3 Gainsford impressive last time and should score again. Moon Rock is consistent. Red Eight and Matthew the King had good earlier form but below best recently.

*Justin Snaith’s* rundown on his horses competing at Kenilworth today:

Elamore (1): Needs to improve on recent form.

In Your Time (1): Will run to her best form with an each way shout but the Drakenstein Stud duo of Queen Niyabah and Wild Creature look hard to oppose.

Petronella (1): Will improve but fierce opposition.

Divergent (2): Great debut and hoping for a similar effort.

Mach Four (2): Will go very close but has Legitimate to beat.

Troy Twentytwo (2): Not expecting anything on debut - will be very green first time up.

Double Blue (5): improving all the while and will run well despite first run out the maidens. Watch over ten furlongs.

*The Gatekeeper (5):* Full brother to Legislate and looking for this trip. Will take some beating.

Hyde Park (6): Doing great at home and could surprise. Smart sort with plenty ability. Do not ignore this horse.

Jet Dark (6): Done nothing wrong to date but has a wide draw to contend with. Hasn’t put a foot wrong to date and must be included in exotics.

Speed Machine (6): This colt has impressed tremendously in his last few starts. Rascallion looks his biggest danger along with stable mates. This is a Gr1 field and whoever wins this could be the Guineas winner.

*Dazzling Sun (7):* She has a wide draw but oozes class. Possible banker if she gets into her full stride. The Drakenstein filly, Marmalisa, at 10-1 looks the likely danger.

Major Attraction (7): Big jump in class and a little green still. She’s a big filly who is still finding her feet but has plenty ability. Follow this one!

Trickster (7): Doing great at home and will be good each way value. Could upset.

Veronica Mars (7): Hasn’t put a foot wrong to date and with some luck from the wide gate she will be flying home.

*Pinkerton (:* Goes for 3 on the trot and should go well again. He’s the one to beat.

One Way Traffic (9): Utterly green on debut when nothing went his way. Expect huge improvement. Include.

Savannah Buddy (9): Good previous run. Hoping for a similar effort in a tough field.

Themadirishsheriff (9): Needs more ground but should run a reasonable race.

Race 4 Run Fox Run is the one to beat if fit, but has not run for a while. Russet Air is top class and was done in by the draw last time. If fit must be right there. Fabian very good run last time, and has a chance. Elusive Trader and Icon Princess very low weights and have upset potential if the big guns are lacking fitness.
Race 5 Very competitive handicap. Contact Zone should have won by much further if he had run straight, and is my first choice. Noir's Boy, Rex Union and Theory of Flight all good form. The Gatekeeper won well last time, but was given a hefty rating for a maiden win, but may make enough improvement to be there.
Race 6 The effect of the lockdown is apparent in that the contestants are lightly raced, and it all depends on the amount of improvement made. My each way value bet is My Bestie- good last run when way out at the weights, and beat Speed Machine on debut. Speed Machine has progressed each run and is a big runner. Rascallion and Invincabelle impressive last two, and should challenge. These are my short list, but quite a few others could progress to challenge.
Race 7 I bred Major Attraction, so will be shouting for her. Princess Calla and Trickster good Durban form. Little between the Bass runners, but I have a small preference for Zarina of those. Dazzling Sun has the stable jockey and has been priced up favourite despite a wide draw and just an ordinary maiden win under the belt, but must be respected, and presumably has shown big improvement at home.
Race 8 A competitive handicap- my Pick is Path of Choice from Orakal and Liberty Hall.
Race 9 A tricky maiden with nothing that stands out. if Wylie's Tractor repeats his second run, then can go close. Alfred's legacy a well exposed 5yo but has consistent form. Savannah Buddy is progressing each start and should go close. A number of lightly raced runners which could improve- Captain's World, Casanova King, One Way Traffic.
