....continuously plagued with problems....loosing massive potential revenue.....while punters run to less problematic alternatives....

....looks like their problems with Ozz links continue..... as only one venue has been put into the betting portal and it is not yet open for bets nor reflecting any dividends....:ohmy:

Tabcorp Australia continued to experience major tote-system problems this morning and has stopped commingling on any betting pools until the issues are resolved.

Consequently, TAB is not operating any betting pools on Australian races today with the exception of Races 7 to 9 at York, on which local Win, Place, Swinger, Exacta, Trifecta and Quartet pools will be in operation.

Those three York races are from 10:20 onwards when there should be sufficient active customers to generate credible pools.

As things stand it may not be possible to offer commingled pools on Australian races tomorrow, but TAB will issue an update later.

.....so not their fault....shame they are against the world.....on a different beef.....bank to bank direct deposits take on average of 30-40 min at the tote.....at Hollywood the average is 5min......who's at fault here.....the banks....dont think so.....:whistle:

These muppets cant think outside the box. Its Tabcorp which is down but you choose to bring 3 OZzzz races the whole morning. Was the Sky feedlink down as well and only activated for York 7-8. Lucky the Honkers were there; they would have reverted to showing Milnerton Jika what what till Graveyard starts. Simple business strategy- what preventative measures are in place in case of outside forces inhibiting turnover. Employ learned cadres who makes business decisions not out of emotions or hate but good for every stakeholder.

....made a deposit earlier this morning before looking at the KAK card.....but nothing reflecting.....tried phoning....was on hold for 20 min....sent an e-mail.....still nothing
......if they dont want me to participate in todays shitty card....no problem.....but hey no way to treat customers....:whistle:

Tabcorp will reward loyal punters and has vowed to do what is necessary to ensure there won’t be a repeat of the nationwide betting system meltdown on the weekend.

The wagering and gaming giant is conducting a “thorough and urgent investigation” into the computer systems failure last weekend which is estimated to have cost $120 million in betting turnover.

“It’s been a very tough weekend for punters, for TAB, for the racing industry and for thousands of retail venues out there across the country that rely on our products,’’ Tabcorp’s managing director of wagering and media, Adam Rytenskild told The Daily Telegraph on Monday.

“I can understand the frustrations and I’m very sorry for what has occurred, sorry for our customers especially, and to the racing industry.

“We will definitely be doing something quite substantial for our customers over the coming days and weeks, we are very focused on that.

“(But) at the moment, we just want to make sure our systems are stable and thankfully we are operating across all channels now.’’

It is understood a preliminary assessment indicates a smoke and possible fire incident at a data centre resulted in extensive damage to Tabcorp’s servers and associated infrastructure causing the betting network to shutdown for more than 24 hours.

Rytsenkild said the review process will address why TAB’s sophisticated computer back-up systems did not work when the network crashed after just 11am on Saturday.

“When we have had incidents like this in the past our systems have gone over to those back-up systems to ensure (network) continuity,’’ he said.

The TAB website is seen on a computer with a message saying betting is currently unavailable during the 28-hour crash.

“That hasn’t happened in this case, it is an unprecedented situation and we will do whatever is necessary coming out of this review to make sure this doesn’t happen again.’’

Tabcorp has also dismissed continued speculation of a cyber security breach to the betting network.

“There is no evidence to suggest we have been hacked at this stage,’’ Rytenskild said. “Customer data is safe and we wanted to make sure that was the case before we brought our systems back up.’’

Tabcorp’s share price fell 12 cents (2.9%) to $3.98 on Monday and was the worst performing stock on the ASX 200 on a day when the market rose 1.8% to an eight-month high at 6298 points.

......now just imagine if our Tote had to reward customers for every time they had a problem glitch meltdown....they would have been out of business many years ago......:lol:

Just fyi, dont bother posting in Ask ABC, nobody sees these posts as it doesn't come up in the recent posts on the home page. Make sure all your posts are in SA horse racing forum. Unless Bob Brogan can look into this.

.....you tech savvy okes and your smart phones..:whistle: ...I still post/blog from a laptop.....not trying to reach the world.....just putting it out here that the tote needs help....and even though I have recently split my punt spend with an online bookie outfit.... a successful tote operation will go a long way to sustain local horse racing.... and should the tote continue to squander betting opportunities to create markets for the dwindling amount of customers and continue to treat them with disdain or not even bother to update deposits continuously and not half hourly.... hourly....every 2 hours they may as well just close down....and hand over to an outfit that can do the job properly....:blink:

They do appear in Recent topics, but i can swap to SA racing

.....I have returned from walking the dog and ready to fire my local refunds in Dundalk.....only to find I have a negative balance in my tote account.....how does that happen......:huh:

....looks like they reversed(took back) the P6 refund....WTF man....hello Hollywood....
