POKER ON TELLYTRACK

Do the clan have any views on the on going promotion of the competition on the horse racing channel?
Here are my views. There are a limited amount of gambling rands available to the horseracing industry yet the channel is promoting a move to poker. Nico said even chainsaw has satrted gambling / playing poker. If Chainsaw is spending a R100 bucks on poker instead of racing then we have a problem because there may be many more like him out there.
To the powers that be promote what you do to the general public instead of promoting other forms of gambling on a horseracing channel. I do undersatnd that you are probably being paid to promote the event but that keeps the channel going not the industry.
Would a Bidvest company promote there oppositio in a media campaign? then why is the horseracing industry doing this?

35 views and no response - I guess that this is fine then. I must say that it grates me and runs on the same sort of thinking as having a hospitality tent for Kingdom slots (with machines) at the July. I still question whether they are licensed to do this.

Maybe the powers realise that you have a better chance of actually winning in the casinos and that horse racing in SA is dying a quick death.

There is nothing wrong with the product there is a problem with the way it is being sold. We are quickly heading for virtual racing with all the Ausie Donkey shows and Donkey cart racing.
Much easier to buy a pre made package than support an industry the size of SA racing.
I hate casinos (slots) and the Lotto - a mindles waste of time

Guys i think the whole reason for Tellytrack promoting POKER is the reason we now watch a promo on Tellytrack Showing' Bettingworld with Neil Andrews' and in that promo we see Poker amongst all the other sports they promote,so maybe Bettingworld will have online Poker on their site soon, this is my opinion.

The question is - How does this benefit horseracing - Are a percentage of entry fees going to go into stakes? Never. So why have it?
