HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE MONDAY 30 NOVEMBER
-Andrew Harrison
1
7 ENGLISH PRINCESS 4 LUNDY ISLAND 8 AUSTEN 9 ZIVA NOIR
Preview: ENGISH PRINCESS (7) has improved in a tongue-tie and did well from a wide draw last start. She should go close. LUNDY ISLAND (4) has improved with each outing. She did well in a competitive maiden last start and should feature prominently. AUSTEN (
is a very well bred first timer. Any market support warrants serious consideration. ZIVA NOIR (9) was much improved last run and could be coming to hand. (Andrew Harrison: 7-4-8-9)
2
6 DEEP THOUGHT 9 SPYDAS CORNER 3 CALVINO 1 PURPLE POWERHOUSE
Preview: DEEP THOUGHT (6) took on stronger last run and although well beaten can do better in this company. CALVINO (3) was narrowly beaten first run out of the maidens. Now 4.5kg better off with DURAN (
who found his best over course and distance last time out. SPYDAS CORNER (9) is back to a sprint and first-time blinkers. Appears useful. PURPLE POWERHOUSE (1) is also 4.5kg better off with Duran and has the best of the draw. ON A HIGH NOTE (2) was a narrow winner over course and distance on debut but that form has not been franked. (Andrew Harrison: 6-9-3-1).
3
5 NOEMI 6 AT YOUR REQUEST 7 FIRST SIGHTING 10 STARLIGHT
Preview: NOEMI (5) has been knocking on the door for some time now. She meets a weak field here with a 4kg claimer up. AT YOUR REQUEST (6) found good market support last run and was not far back. She meets weaker here and looks the biggest threat to the selection. FIRST SIGHTING (7) is way better than her last run. She meets weaker here and at best will put in a bold showing. STARLIGHT (10) is always game although ran below form last run. She can do better here. (Andrew Harrison: 5-6-7-10).
4
11 GLOBAL ASH 4 LIVING WATERS 1 FERRARI ICE 2 ALPHAMIKEFOXTROT
Preview: GLOBAL ASH (11) has pulled another difficult gate but has gone close in both post maiden runs. He could prefer this shorter trip. FERRARI ICE (1) has the best of the draw and goes very well over course and distance. ALPHAMIKEFOXTROT (2) has come to hand. Two smart recent efforts over shorter but has done well this trip. Big chance. LIVING WATERS (4) nearly surprised last run after taking a big drop in the handicap. Go close again. (Andrew Harrison: 11-4-1-2).
5
8 MIGHTY SMART 11 RAIN DANCE 12 CAPTAIN ZEE 5 FEVER
Preview: Wide open. MIGHTY SMART (
has been struggling for his second win but he has come good at his last two and rates a strong chance in a weak field. RAIN DANCE (11) has come on nicely of late making steady improvement. He looks a likely danger. CAPTAIN ZEE (12) was a recent qualified maiden winner but is lightly raced and should enjoy the extra. FEVER (5) comes in with a light weight and had no luck from a wide draw last start. (Andrew Harrison: 8-11-12-5).
6
Preview: CHEWBACA (11) shed his maiden last start but is lightly raced. He kicked on well in the finish and should have more improvement to come. VITUS BEIRING (
has started at long odds in all his outings but has taken on stronger in his two post maiden efforts. He can do better here. QUERARI’S COWBOY (9) has been improving quickly of late and took a ratings drop before his last run. Good run in blinkers and should feature. BRIGADE (10) has dropped in the ratings and showed some improvement last start. That form has held up. (Andrew Harrison: 11-8-9-10).
7
10 SHASTINA 8 JOYFUL WINTER 6 HEREINAFTER 7 TOP SALUTE
Preview: SHASTINA (10) has a wide draw and only shed her maiden last run. However, that was her first attempt at ground and she improved smartly. JOYFUL WINTER (
is struggling for her second win but has been improving of late and her last ratings drop did help. HEREINAFTER (6) has put in two promising post maiden efforts. She has taken a two-point drop in the handicap and should be competitive. TOP SALUTE (7) is always game. She has taken to the poly and must have a chance in this line-up. (Andrew Harrison: 10-8-6-7).
8
7 MACARA 5 EIGHTFOLDS LASS 8 FIRE FAERIE 6 IRISH PEARL
Preview: MACARA (7) shows promise and steps up to what should be a more suitable trip. EIGHTFOLDS LASS (5) beat a smart field last run and has been in good form against stronger. She can go in again. FIRE FAERIE (
showed up well in her last sprint from a wide draw. She will much prefer this trip. IRISH PEARL (6) was close-up behind ALPHONSE BABY (9) last start but is now 1kg better off which could turn the tables. (Andrew Harrison: 7-5-8-6).
9
10 MORSE 1 DARKEST DAWN 8 SO SMOOTH 9 LINNBARA
Preview: MORSE (10) makes his local debut. He has some useful Cape form to back his claims but does have to overcome a wide draw. DARKEST DAWN (1) has shown some promise over sprints but judging on pedigree, he should much prefer this trip. He has the best of the draw and looks set to make big improvement. SO SMOOTH (
made a promising local debut over course and distance and was much improved on his Cape form. He cannot be left out of any calculations. LINNBARA (9) is seldom far back and stays the trip well. Place chance again. (Andrew Harrison: 10-1-8-9).
