Peculiar High Payouts

Nearly everyday in some venue there always some sort of dividend that pays handsomely than other will pays or at the final dividend. Today is no different at Greyville. The Pick 3, Races 5 to 7 paid just over R11 000. That was the biggest payout combination for a winning combination. I have been a beneficiary of these a couple of times. We always complain of low dividends but there are also high payouts as well.

Today at the Vaal,

Pick 3 Races 3, 4, and 5 paid R3900 odd, nice payout
Pick 3 Races, 4, 5 and 6 paid R7800 odd, nice payout

In fact today all the Pick 3 dividends paid nicely.

Even the first double in my opinion paid well Races 1 and Race 2 R8.50 considering in Race 1 the winner opened up at 9/10 and Race 2 the winner opened up at 12/10

The 4th, 5th, 6th Race 3 Pick 3 at Greyville paid R1499. We complain about a low dividend but that's a very high payout.

Yip it took 1 year and 8 months to find some value

No. Decided to post the payout due to the winners starting prices of 2/1, 11/2 and 11/2. There have been many instances in the last couple of months. In the UK racing in the night the Trifecta and Quartets pay also very high.

There is value every night in the USA. You can get the price. You just have to hope it arrives....

By its very nature, given the way the tote works, you will find good payouts and bad payouts. More often than not, you will find bad payouts on the tote, which is certainly why your post is not getting the response it seems like you hoped for. They do nothing to change this, so let's not act like this payout is the norm by any stretch. Look at the pool sizes on non-SA races these days, and you are talking about good Trifecta and Qrt payouts in evening meetings. How much exactly are you winning here, because if you were, the payouts certainly would not be good any more.

I agree the liquidity is low at night and even during the day but the Open bet is making it easy for some people to get on until you limited to get on. In eight runners fields for Trifectas to pay over R500 for fancied type result and the Quartet to pay almost the pool if an outsider runs third or fourth is great for Open bet players. Irish racing is even better for them with swingers paying astronomical amounts....

And how quickly do the bookies these days limit the open bet? Is it even possible to win?
