Anton Marcus seemed to have planned that ride as the last start he set pace and hung across to the outside

Marcus only has one plan on the poly .... head for the outside going. Does it all the time.

I assume Marcus was alluding to English Princess as one of the 'others'

strangely enough, I thought he was going to go inside of Vinodh's Boy, but Lyle kept close to the rail and so he went wide to ensure a path...

Does the tactic of third run after a rest still work because Dads Roots looks ready to win i.e. when a horse goes to farm and come back.

very few win down the inside on the Poly...may be because it's just too tight to ensure enough time to balance the horse before starting a run...?
Last edit: 4 years 7 months ago by Pirhobeta. Reason: spelling mistake...too

Yes English Princess has to be one. I am punting it.

I *believe* that the other one is the Muscutt horse in the last race Maitland Magic. He rode for its 2 wins and has 'switched' to the Robinson horse, Colour my Fate

English Princess: Looked fit in the ring, went down focused and Marcus would have preferred to have taken the ride over the favourite. That, along with getting 4-1 versus odds on for the fav, is good enough for me to have a strike on her.

Also, Louis Goosen has NEVER engaged Lyle for his stable. This is the very first ride for him. Win or lose my money is happily on.

EDIT: Sorry ... Just checked the stats ... 3 engagements for one win and one place. Still a good booking

A 'Dave" bet....fixed place English Princess same price as Stars for the win 5/10
