well called...

Hewitson getting better and better. Most jocks here would have just sat three wide the whole way.
But check the rest of the field bar the top 2,they where off the bit with 800m to go.

was a great ride by him ;) ...stole the march and AM knew he was done for a long way out...

How some of these horses are allowed to carry on racing is beyond me.
Surely the trainers must tell their patrons sorry but we not going to get a win from this horse so better to find it a home on a farm or try showjumping or something.

Trainers are salesman and business owners.
They are only worried about giving you enough hope to persevere and pay your monthly fees.

Owned two horses last year that were 'promising' and that 'will win a few'
Paid upkeep and bills for many months.
Both still maidens.

Was told to race for fun.
Is running last fun?

Guess taking my money was fun.
Lesson learnt.

Spent bit more $$ and go to a trainer where results matter.

5 Abbey Wood 3.50 3.15 3.35 3.00 2.85 2.90 3.00 2.65 2.35 2.15 1.75 1.65 1.50 1.55 1.65 1.75 1.65 1.55 1.40 1.35

Now you know why Hollywoods are sponsoring so many things.
Unbelievable how often in KZN they have a punt but forget to teach the horse how to jump out the gates.
Simple, you don't jump on terms you on the back foot from the beginning.
No doubt Abbey Wood would have won if she came out the pens on terms with the field.

her own worst enemy but I do think she will win a few once she learns how to race - no race if she jumped properly

I am stating the bleeding obvious, but fook me there is no consistency in this game:

Race 1: form and money horse horse wins
race 2: Fav backed like its already in the winners box. Issue at gate. Unplaced
Race 3: Money for fav. All over the place in running. Gone
Race 4: Odds on shot drifts like a barge. Gets beat
Race 5: Even money fav drifts like a barge. Wins
Race 6: Legislate money pouring on. Lets see
Race 7: Who knows
Race 8: Marcus jumps off Maitland Magic. Did he want the ride? Lets see

Also, Louis Goosen has NEVER engaged Lyle for his stable. This is the very first ride for him. Win or lose my money is happily on.

EDIT: Sorry ... Just checked the stats ... 3 engagements for one win and one place. Still a good booking

Over analysed this one ... was Count Marsh and Maitland Magic

Watch the replay .... keep an eye on Grace Angel's 'educational' ride. I confess I took swingers with it at 66/1 and it looked as comfortable as any of the other three up with it. Jockey just sat on it to the line.

Watch for a plunge next time on poly!!

Durbs, I am making it your job to alert me when he reappears ..... thanks buds !!

The game is sick at the moment.
The pools are a reflection of that and will only continue to decline with current consumer (punter) dissatisfaction.

Miss the good times of Dave Mollet at Turffies, Shaheen Shaw on Tellytrack and Bumpy Schoeman screaming them home at Fairview.

Ah, nostalgia...

Does look like S viljoen heading for a 4 timer

Second race serino wins for Forbes stable
Abbey wood then jumps poorly but same owner wins with Kayc al
Serino has legislates dance favourite in the 6th and could end up winning race 8 on gavel strike for same owner

Gavel strike on the run to MKs pride worth a try at 8 /1
