Attie is running Saturday in Capetown at Kenilworth in the 2500m Okapi Chairman's Cup Gr3 and champion jockey Warren Kennedy . Here is his final grass gallop. Wanted him to give his gritty companion some start and then try go fetch him , and he delivered. Im very happy with him . Attie will travel to Milnerton on Friday and Sunday morning we will be heading back to Port Elizabeth . Attie made us dream again !!

I always use Cape Derby form when looking for value in the ante post July betting.

But i must say that the 2019 edition seemed to be the weakest i can ever recall, especially if you check who won and placed in 2018 and 2020.

The 2019 winner was Atyaab followed by the likes of Charles, Herodotus, Santa Clara, Bunker Hunt, Hudoo Magic, Knights Templar.

Atyaab wasnt even entered into the 2019 July by De Kock and all the horses behind him that day are handicappers.

But down the field there was a horse called Belgarion who is unbeaten since recovering from an injury sustained in that race.

Maybe i was to early to write the form off completely now that Hudoo Magic is only doing better and Attie ran well in the Summer.

This game always surprises.
