Anton double race 2 and 3
Speculative treble with race 6 Paper Trail
Value bet for me is in Race 7 - Cane Line & Soda , dropping heavily in ratings and if finding some of it's best form could easily win a race like this.

Some to consider...

Race 1 - No Selection
Race 2 - No Selection
Race 3 - Too small field
Race 4 - 1 Alloway Grove, 9 Path to Go
Race 5 - 6 Empire Glory, 1 Wordsworth
Race 6 - 2 Paper Trail, 1 Dollar Brand, 3 Essos
Race 7 - Too small field - maybe 2 Sudden Star
Race 8 - 7 Jolly Josephine

All the best to all Clanners for today...stay safe and healthy...infections (if numbers can be believed) seem to be easing from recent peak...China apparently had / officially reported over 100 infections for 7 consecutive days so that figure is in all likelihood 100000 / day...nothing can be trusted anymore...:(

Beautiful summers day- expect fresh headwind. Course fast.
Race 1 Only Super Siri has run- decent debut and should go close. Imposing Angel has been nominated for feature on Met day. selection 8/4/1/5
Race 2 Both Intrepid and Rod the Mod good debuts and both nominated for Met day, as has Green Vigilante.
selection 4/5/6
Race 3 Competitive little race. Kariba hall and Dubai Lights are improving 3 yos and should be in the finish. Sailing Lizard has had 2 fair runs since long break, and is competitive off this rating. selection 3/5/2
Race 4 Tricky race as the raced runners not that strong, and many first timers. Alloway Grove improved last time and Path to Go decent debut and the one to beat. selection 9/1/8/4
race 5 Also not the strongest form. Camps Bay fair debut and could be the one with normal improvement. Wordsworth well tried but usually thereabout. Jack the Jetsetter poor recent form but capable at best. De Bull has not progressed from nice debut but must be respected with the jockey booking. Our filly Pretty Betty has had a couple of grass gallops, but needs further but won't be disgraced. selection 7/1/11/10

Race 6 Paper Trail looks a possible banker- very open otherwise. Essos and Dollar Brand look next best.
selection 2/3/1/7
Race 7 Small but competitive field. Night Song is very consistent and is a narrow first choice. Cane Lime N Soda has been given another hefty rating drop, and is now weighted to win. selection 5/6/3/4
race 8 Our filly Fynbos faces a similar field to what she beat last time, but gets the worst of the draw, so will need some luck in the running. She is fit and well and only 1kg worse off so is a serious runner again. Double Reward was only just beaten last time and is a very generous price. Follow the Star coming down in the ratings, but is the class filly if regaining best form. The improving 3yos, Marina, Pink Tourmaline and Twicethequality are all capable of winning in this very competitive race. selection 8/1/6/5

This just proves to me even more that the Cape trainers still haven't a clue about their babies.
Snaith came on air,and he is just telling us what he heard, and said he has never heard such confidence before on Green Vigilante and the rest are all racing for second.
And as happens too often the horse in question misses the break and loses three lengths.
Snaith goes on and wins the race and Green vigilante who was supposed to be unbeatable runs unplaced and never looked like winning as it was as green as the grass.
Green Vigilante was backed from 5-2 into 5-10 at one stage then drifted to 15-10.
I think the connections lost a packet there.

So where the hell did Snaith hear that they all running for second?
He said he has never seen such confidence yet the trainer says something else.

I doubt Snaith would do this but did he want a better price on his horse?
5 Intrepid 2.50 2.65 3.00 3.05 3.30 3.35 2.65 2.50 3.35 2.85 3.00 2.75 2.70 2.80 2.50 2.20 1.75 1.55 1.45 1.50
Backed and duly won, similar to his horse in the Queens plate.
