The mare La Fonteine ( Counter Action- Late Night Live) is well represented today. She won over 1800m, but is a half sister to top class sprinter Rei Rei, and from the family of sprint- miler Star Award, a multiple graded race winner.4 of her 5 foals have won.
Daughter Pharr Out, by Ashaawes runs in race 3. Was somewhat inconsistent in CT, but on best form is better than this line up, and can make it a full house of winners for the dam.
Waterfall, a winning daughter of La Fonteine by Kabool, was speedy, and just missed small black type when a somewhat unlucky 4th in the Cape Fillies Nursery behind the very talented Hammies Hooker.
Her first foal, Twin Falls, runs in race 7. She won on debut in CT as a juvenile, and then struggled under a hefty early merit rating. Has done well in PE, now a 6 time winner, and has shown good improvement this season as a 5yo. Toughest task to date, and a poor last effort, but capable of causing an upset, although the favourite looks very hard to oppose.
Waterfall’s third foal Vic Falls by Elusive Fort makes her debut today. A small field of babies, and all on debut, so no idea what to expect today.

Nadines tips:

Local champion three-year-old Global Drummer goes for six in a row in the Fairview Merchants (turf) today.

Nadine Rapson tips him to win, but goes against the 7/10 favourite for her best bet – selecting Find Me Unafraid in Race 4 instead – a MR78 over 1600m.

Race 1
2 / 7 / 8 / 4

Race 2
6 / 4 / 1 / 2

Race 3
4 / 11 / 8 / 1

Race 4
7 / 11 / 10 / 5

Race 5
5 / 8 / 1 / 3

Race 6
6 / 2 / 7 / 1

Race 7
4 / 2 / 9 / 5

Race 8
8 / 10 / 7 / 2

Best Bet : Race 4 #7 FIND ME UNAFRAID (22/10)
Value Bet : Race 8 #8 SHINE A LIGHT (9/2)

Horses that relocate to PE often do well first start, and today being on turf, don't have to worry about change in surface for many.. Here are some of them to consider:
Race 1- Take the World has not run for 6 months and may find this sharp. Untamed Tiger has had 5 fair local runs all on poly- should be hard to beat here.
race 3 Pharr Out should enjoy the long run in, and if there is a nice pace and she can settle, then can run them down late. Mousey on Over good local debut on poly and is the danger. Big Texas fair local debut- lightly raced and scope for improvement.
race 4 Winter Tango first local grass run, and could improve on poly form.
Race 5 Track Attack should be hard to beat on local debut. Hit for Six good first local run and could challenge. Meeraas 3 local poly runs, and could improve first local turf run.
Race 6 Comaneci and Vodka Lime could surprise on local debuts
Race 8 Golden Years fair local debut on poly-should go better today. At Your Request has come down steadily in the ratings and last time she ran on turf was her best effort. Mifid Two has been running against much stronger, and although bred for further, has done well sprinting.

R1 ) JUST SO EASY 4 runs this season, 3 x placed over 1,000m

this work rider 3 rides last season - 2 wins and a place.......not bad stats....ALL for this same trainer.

PLUS gets sex allowance of 2.5 kgs...... so i'm with J.S.O. - because of the jock experience, plus i think THIS IS TOO SHARP FOR UNTAMED TIGER - had 25 runs & still a maiden... has not run over 1000m for last 10 x runs..( THIS WORK rider only 1 ride ever )....maybe today is HIS day, but i'm with J.O.E. & the more experienced work rider.

28/10 a fair price me thinks ;)

well J.S.Easy ran all over the course..... couldn't have run further in a 1,000m contest.... if she tried.

Oh well, that's racing I guess....... well done to OSCAR - at last !!!!

Race 1 Ultimate Tiger (W) - Possible outsiders Urban Oasis (back on Turf) and Shakshuka
Race 3 Demonte (E/W) - IMO only has Mousy on Over to Beat.
Race 4 Still Tapin (E/W) - Well bred and also Dropping in Ratings + Back on Turf
Race 5 Meeraas (Place) - Well bred and also Dropping in Ratings + Back on Turf
Race 6 Montreal Mist (pl) - Back on Turf and may be coming back to form + ratings drop.
