Politburo and proletariat...so ingrained in the dumbtists thinking...and the masses actually think the rulers care about them is the greatest brain-washing exercise ever accomplished...

The minorities have a can do attitude, a willingness to sacrifice and defer gratification and that will enable their quicker recovery from the current state failures...

Next budget will be interesting...will tell me whether to still be in the formal sector (and paying taxes) or move (further) underground... :(

......ANC must fall....and not in favour of the EFF....and that impish new year partying then tea dinking Malema retard a total flip flop.....has now shown that he is ....and always has been collaborating with the ANC mainly through the Zuma faction.....he also had very little to say about the Ace of spades either which makes one really think....should he row in with Zuma he too will surely sink.....he is still a little dirty corrupt racist fascist....and the ANC have only let him do their dirty work....of scare mongering and promoting racial division....

.....funny how there was a record amount of posts views debates etc on USA politics that spiraled out of the Trump Biden election thread ....yet hardly no one here comments on the matters nor state of our own country and the politics ....maybe afraid that big brother will track us down and put us on top of the expropriation lists .. ..I recon that all that steam was a major form of deflection as no one likes to see what is happening in their own back yard... bend over and just take it....:S

I gulped reading some of the posts on the Trump/Biden thread, and in the end i decided to ignore, hoping there was nothing too personal said and tbh the folk making the comments (although some pretty radical) were being made by long time members.

Local politics, because of freedom of speech, is harder for me to moderate and easier not get involved with on ABC

Although if someone wishes to do the moderating

reason being Muhti .... is same old, same old. We have had the same status quo for 20 odd years now. The USA was a radical change to the extreme left ... and this current regime will be attempting to become the first successful Socialist country ... and we know what the chances are....

I was also astonished by the comments on the Joe vs Donald thread that I opened for only the betting😎
Also admit did not read many.

The "fears and thoughts" thread was basically our LOCAL concerns, which are MAJOR:
ZUMA, EFF, ANC, ESKOM, SAA, etc etc

Not to forget RACING .

As Bob says, we don't write the scripts but we do supply the platform with as little interference as possible.

I can assure we certainly have our moments and a fair amount of drama behind the scenes.

Good Posting

I think the number of posts regarding the US elections had much to do with there being two "camps" on ABC with different views hence the to and fro whilst, with respect to South African politics / economy, we are largely of one mind and generally in agreement with the few posts that are made...not a lack of interest or concern...just repetitive if many post the same / similar view...

...even if there are staunch ANC or EFF support and those others with more radical views..... it may be also best to stay on the sidelines and watch the ANC unravel/fracture/split/implode/explode/splutter/fizzle/dissolve....and in a comparison like that of the recent but rather long and drawn out demise of Phumelela....which was said to be the slowest car crash in history...... we now see the ANC WITH AN INTOXICATED inexperienced DRVER AND an unqualified NAVIGATION TEAM in a unroadworthy vehicle ....bald tyres no brakes and all..... go into a sideways skid on a wet slippery road and are waiting for it to collide with something....

@Tnaiker you are correct in my opinion we are all so fed up with all the corruption lack of accountability and just pure criminality in some cases. Only a fool cannot see what is happening but when nothing comes of it or when there is the rare jail sentence the accused are heralded into prison like heros.
