The big gun raiders have arrived en masse to take on the locals. Another card where Nadine's input will go a long way to assisting us in the exotics. Does any of the Clan know why her suggested exotics and in fact, that of the other presenters are now only shown before the start of that exotic?

Marmara Sea
Themadirishsheriff
Follow the Star
Roll in the Hay
I have made Roll in the Hay the best on the card. Those last 2 runs behind Celtic Sea were just fantastic if you compare merit ratings. Went into my black book, but did not expect next appearance in PE
Follow the Star has run in such strong company and should win this blindfolded
Having said that, I am sure young Mr Greeff will want to prove the raiders wrong.
Tara will also want to prove a point and I have taken some places on Sailing Ship.
My 'outsider' of the day is Bold Strike (was 12/1 now 8/1)
Looks like a very entertaining afternoon ahead.
Have fun guys

Alan Greeff’s star World Radar runs in the listed Lady’s Pendant over 1200m on the Fairview turf today, and Nadine Rapson makes her the best bet on the card.
Her value bet is Storyland in race 6, from the other local powerhouse Gavin Smith.
Cape trainers Snaith, Bass-Robinson and Kotzen are all raiding Fairview today, and as usual can be expected to take home a few of the first prizes.
Best Bet : Race 7 #1 WORLD RADAR
Value Bet : Race 6 #3 STORYLAND
Race 1 :
3 / 2 / 4 / 5
Race 2 :
1 / 4 / 2 / 3
Race 3 :
2 / 6 / 5 / 7
Race 4 :
6 / 11 / 10 / 2
Race 5 :
6 / 3 / 1 / 2
Race 6 :
3 / 7 / 2 / 4
Race 7 :
1 / 10 / 5 / 4
Race 8 :
6 / 1 / 8 / 11

With so many CT horses running, makes the day interesting.
Race 1 Zeta Jones is my pick to beat Swazi Queen but not much between them. Song is lightly raced and can challenge. Let's Rock looks the best of the locals. Pharr Out, Cianna and Silvia Louise for back end of quartets.
Race 2 Marmara Sea unbeaten on the poly- if he is as effective on grass is the one to beat. Kimberley Star and The Highwayman can go in if he fails. Arctic Drift seems better over further, but if they go a hard gallop he could run them down.
Race 3 The Madirishsheriff looks the best of the visitors, but any of the Bass runners could improve to feature. Jacques Strydom has the best of the locals with King of the Moment a good local debut last time and if he stays the trip a big runner, backed up by the consistent Chai.
race 4 Winter's Awakening another big runner for the visitors. Has been running against much stronger and has come down to a very competitive MR level. Very open if she fails, although Take the World good win last time and looks to be on the upgrade.
Race 5 Follow the Star is slung in here and should win by a distance.
Race 6 Open race.
race 7 World Radar is first pick. Roll in The Hay seems best 1000m, but can win. Carioca stepped up last two, and should be right there. Joyful Noise is an improving 3yo and must be respected.
Race 8 Open Race. Rimini drops back in trip but can't be ignored. Fours a Crowd seems best on softer going, but is now running off a competitive rating and can win. Shine a Light, Abia and Miss Honey seem the best of the local runners.

Well that was an impressive flying finish and nerve wracking for the punters .
Fav punters having another good start.
