Do they ever review what they say.
Listening to them ramble on:
Betting - do they assume we are either all illiterate or are they catering for vision impaired listeners.
The card changes and scratching. here they assume we are slow learners.

what be more useful. tell us about draw bias. equipment changes from last race to next.

How does Sheldon get away with calling just three horses in a field of 12? And no prizes for guessing his fancies either.

Sheldon Peters is an asset to the KZN commentary team.
With his voice, his calling and his tipping.
They are anything but monotone.

For me, by far the poorest commentator in SA. I even prefer Dumpie Schoeman...gets too shriekie and emotional with some ludicrous sayings interspersed. and forget about what is happening behind the front few

I enjoy all of our commentators over the overseas guys...but sometimes they become over the top...even Allie...what you call for one...call for the other...don't make Allan Stewart Konigsberg any better than the Rosenkowitz Six ;)

Magi .... Magi

The ones behind the front few are beaten. Why waste your time calling them.
The action is in the front. If any of six can win, pointless calling the rest.

In my opinion Sheldon is justified in concentrating on the front 3

The winning margins were

0 len (winner)
2.1 len
2.8 len

then
8.1 lengths

What's the point. Just saying???

Withour agreeing with the point that Sheldon is necessarily a bad commentator, because he's great, the point is that the quartet is the bet in each race with the biggest turnover, so I'd say there were many that were interested in what ran 4th. This is South Africa racing, not America or the UK, calling up to 4th place is a staple.
