Posting early as I have a family commitment tomorrow; High class racing - let's try and put the last week behind us - thoughts:
R2: Juveniles - those that have raced have not covered themselves in glory (yet), so this is open as the first timer may need more ground - I'm loading up in the BP
R3: In the last few weeks it was a distinct advantage being drawn on the stand side, the trend should continue unless they have moved the rails or cut the grass differently (which only the race will show) - so my top 2 would be The Contractor and Royal Wulff; Valetorio could challenge if the inside draw is not too much of a disadvantage
R4: Not easy - especially as most of these are probably prepping for the Computaform Sprint in a month's time - also the one that seems to have the best chance (True to Life) comes back to racing after having suffered a colic attack 3 weeks ago - so I'm going F in the first leg of the P6
R5: MK's Pride has all the class, but needs to give lots of weight away; Celestial Love looks the immediate danger, while Al Sakeet may be better than rated, so could also give plenty of cheek; all of Slalom Queen, Varina and Valyrian King seem best over 1000 - so MK, CL and AS should hopefully be enough here
R6: The Gr 1, where Got the Greenlight seems to tick all the boxes and should win if the 2nd run after a rest does not catch him out; biggest danger probably ExpressfromtheUS, while Cirillo is being overlooked by many, but he has proper Gr 1 form behind Belgarion and Rainbow Bridge, and will make them come and catch him; not sure the 3yr old can match these getting only 2,5 kgs
R7: The Oaks, where War of Athena should prove very hard to beat; she holds most on exposed form and I don't think the trip will pose a problem; both the Matchett and Peter stables will ensure a true pace - Ideal Jet to chase her home
R8: The Derby, where Malmoos also looks hard to beat - a slight worry may be the form of the stable, but he is in a class of his own; there is not a lot on the Classic form between Second Base, Flying Carpet, Bold Jazz and even Shah Akbar, so any of those could pick up the pieces if Malmoos fails; for me I think the rest has a lot to do
R9: Very interesting race; many of these are re-united with the jocks that have done very well on them; Kennedy has won 2 and placed 2nd twice on Atyaab; Lerena has won 4 times on Chitengo; Ferraris has won 2 and placed 3 times on Factor Fifty; Maujean has won once and finished 2nd on Odd Rob in two tries; Yeni has won once and placed 4 times on Tyrus Express and even v Rensburg has won twice on Sunshine Silk; pace and ability to stay the trip will be a factor; Chitengo is well in at the weights but not sure to see out the 2850, while I think the altitude may prove the undoing of Atyaab (and for me he is too high in the ratings - not that Ziets will care what I think); so coming to the last leg of the P6, I think one needs to be well covered - so I'm including all of the above, as well as African Adventure and Imperial Ruby
Enjoy

LOOK YOURSELF place/swingers with RAPID CHARGE
MY MASTER good place value if forgiving first run…had excuses
RAMCHANDI ROAD place
BOLD RANSOM win
CELESTIAL LOVE each way chance
Big fan of EXPRESSFROMTHEUS so each way value for me
WAR OF ATHENA will coast in…for value I am placing SPARKLING WATER
MALMOOS also to stamp authority in this race…should skate in…place value is the ever improving PAMUSHANAS PRIDE….also fancy THE KOP at a huge price for 4 places
Will be so happy for Ziets but I am in the camp of TYRUS EXPRESS win
BATTLE FORCE looks like a nice sort so will follow again…big win chance
Enjoy and be safe!
