Triple Crown and Triple Tiara have little value when it has been won so often in the recent past...dilutes the achievement...first won in 1999 and since 2011 to now, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2020, 2021 have seen it won...

Pretty much the same horses in all three legs...I know the winner can only beat those horses that enter...

Suggest that it be Cape Guineas, SA Classic and Daily News 2000...gives horses from all three major centres a chance and the winner would have deservedly earned title...for now, it is the Gauteng Triple Crown and Triple Tiara and not the SA Triple Crown and Triple Tiara...

Just saying...

Of course it is the Gauteng Triple crown even more so the Turffontein Triple Crown. Hey, but so what? (But the 1st leg is still shared with the Cape Guineas).

We used to have the SA Triple crown as you’ve described and then that morphed into one with the SA Derby and then the whole thing fell flat because the Cape connections just do not support raiding the Highveld. Who was the last Cape trained Cape Guineas winner to run in the 2nd leg? Horse Chestnut, Flight Alert, Domino Man, Soqrat, Noah From Goa, Ponting North were all Gauteng trained).

Viva la Triple Crown.

Maybe they should take few genuine random samples of the jocks then we see who stays in racing 😉
